Really good shoe, but it took me three tries to get a large enough size for socks and comfortable long-term walking. I will Scotchguard the heavy fabric outer layer and be ready for our mild winters. It is attractive because the sole matches, is a good height, and with a side zipper, goes on easily. The wide toebox is comfortable partly because it is relatively soft (I tried some shoes that were very hard and liked these a lot better). I searched several stores for comfortable short boots with rubber soles, but a bit dressy. What I found was disappointing! I decided to look on Amazon for Clark boots because I am familiar with Clark’s quality and sizing. These boots are great! They’re not super dressy but can be worn for most occasions. They are comfortable, sturdy and “sensible” for walking about in winter conditions. Just what I needed. Read more
