Really good shoe, but it took me three tries to get a large enough size for socks and comfortable long-term walking. I will Scotchguard the heavy fabric outer layer and be ready for our mild winters. It is attractive because the sole matches, is a good height, and with a side zipper, goes on easily. The wide toebox is comfortable partly because it is relatively soft (I tried some shoes that were very hard and liked these a lot better). I searched several stores for comfortable short boots with rubber soles, but a bit dressy. What I found was disappointing! I decided to look on Amazon for Clark boots because I am familiar with Clark’s quality and sizing. These boots are great! They’re not super dressy but can be worn for most occasions.
