Solid performance and comfortable design, with just a hint of skipping
This set of Lekreo retractable gel pens is designed for general-purpose writing, journaling, note-taking, or office tasks. Each pen features a 0.7mm fine point with smooth blue ink and a classic click-to-open design. The pack offers a practical alternative to more expensive gel pens, and I’ve found them to be a strong everyday option. My first impression was positive. The pens are lightweight but not flimsy. The shape is well-balanced, and they rest comfortably in the hand. I write by hand frequently and tend to be particular about pens. These meet most of my key criteria: they deliver a decent flow of ink, feel balanced in the hand, and have a comfortable grip that doesn’t strain the fingers over time. The click mechanism is smooth, and the clip is functional and sturdy enough to attach to a pocket or notebook cover. Writing performance is mostly smooth, though not flawless. I noticed occasional skipping. It’s not constant, but when it happens, I can feel the nib catching slightly and see a break in the line. Ink flow is generally good, with no major smearing or blotting. Dry time is average for gel ink. For casual writing, office memos, or everyday lists, these pens do the job well. They’re also a solid choice for stashing in bags, desks, or meeting folders. While they may not fully satisfy someone looking for luxury pen performance, they’re a great value at this price point.
