I tried several skorts for my little girl, and I think I might have just found the one we needed. These were our criteria: I like the fabric not to be completely synthetic and to have a minimal stretch to it; we were hoping for a little accent to break uniform boredom, like the bows in this skort; just above knee length; durability; price/quality ratio. Only thing I would change: the inside shorts would be perfect if it were a cotton blend, but it's not. Definitely size down. For reference, my 6yo is 49 inches and 50 pounds and a size 6 was absolutely big. Size 5 fits comfortably, with a little RTG. Also, I wish this came in black, too.
