Some thoughts: - The mesh on the back of the chair seems to... shave (?) my shirt as after a few weeks of usage a lot of dust collects in the cavity in the back. It's not a big deal and can be vacuumed out easily. - I really appreciate the adjustability and comfortability of this chair for the price. I can sit in it working for long hours and be totally fine. - Sometimes I worry about the head rest only being held on by one screw, but it has been more than solid and I have had no issues after a these couple of years. - I enjoy that I can remove the lumbar support bar. I found that the bar was a bit too intrusive and the support that the mesh has without the bar is more than enough and comfortable. - I wish I could move the arms completely out of the way as I did with a previous chair of mine, but I would consider this a small downside for my use case. - The mechanism to lock how far back the chair can recline is easy to use and I love that you can choose from multiple positions. - My chair started to squeak pretty bad after about a year but was easily fixed with some WD40. - If you are rolling on carpet, I extremely highly recommend some better, thicker rubber casters. It will save you so much annoyance. - Granted I don't abuse the chair, but overall the build quality seems very solid with the metal base and thick plastic elsewhere. - The cushion is still very comfortable after all this time and I don't feel like I'm bottoming out at all like with other cheap cushions. It still feels thick and support my weight well. I weigh about average for an adult male. Read more

I just had to write this review since I've seen other people struggle with customer service for Clatina. Approximately one year from purchasing, my chair unfortunately broke. At first, I tried to reach out to Clatina via the email listed online but it kept coming back as the email was invalid. I felt slightly defeated but luckily I found a way to contact Clatina. On Amazon I went to account > contact us (customer service) > chose my chair as the item I needed assistance with. Then while chatting with the AI assistant I selected I needed help with the return policy. This then gave me an option to send a message directly to Clatina. I told them the issue with my chair and thankfully, I got a response within 24 hours. With just a few short messages I was able to schedule a replacement for my chair. So the warranty works guys! The good: Aside from that, the chair itself is really nice (albeit this is my first chair above 150 USD). It's packed with features and I have utilized them all. The leaning back and locking in different positions is awesome, especially for a 200 USD chair. It's also a heavy chair and feels like a very good quality chair. Very satisfied with it. Also now I can attest to the customer service support being very good. The "just ok": These are very nit picky and have not majorly impacted my enjoyment of the chair. Just small things I wish could be improved. The headrest is not the most comfortable but it's not bad (I'm 5'5"). Additionally, I installed third party wheels that make the chair slightly taller. With these wheels the lowest setting is just ever so slightly too high for my liking so my feet don't rest super solidly on the ground. Lastly, the armrests only move outward or inward, unfortunately not forwards or backwards. This just limits the adjustability of the armrests and there have been a few use cases I wished I couldve adjusted forwards or backwards. The "bad": Take this with a grain of salt because none of these would be deal breakers from recommending this chair. The lumbar support that the chair comes with is unfortunately pretty uncomfortable, even with adjustment. But this can be solved by just taking the part out. But if you were really looking forward to that feature, just know myself and many others have found it to be less than ideal. Also, I think it is important that I mention the break I encountered on my chair was in the base. Specifically the holes that you insert the casters (wheels) into cracked. I attached pictures of them. I suspect it is because I've been using this chair on decently thick carpet. This made moving the chair around harder than usual. The heaviness of the chair paired with my weight (170 lbs) on carpet is what I suspect caused the break. But I think if you were using this chair on hardwood or tile, there would be no issue with this at all. And like I stated in the beginning of my review, I have obtained a replacement for this part so overall I'm still satisfied with the chair. Read more

With the transition to working from home, I needed a comfortable and ergonomic chair suitable for sitting 8-10 hours per day. I also wanted the chair to look good (though secondary in importance). I researched about two dozen chairs before settling on this. First ---- if you opted for the headrest, it is shipped separately and may come after the rest of the chair. The overall shipping was much faster than expected and the chair arrived well packed and in perfect condition. Assembly took about 15 minutes with no assistance needed. The chair is very sturdy and the base seat is heavy so you may need some help putting that part on the main pole. The only step that gave me any pause is slotting the seat back into the grooves --- I had to get a rubber mallet to get everything flush. The casters seem good for now --- tempted to get roller blade-style wheels, but I'm on carpet and don't hear great things. I may still swap out the casters as this chair takes some effort to move (at least on carpet with no mat). But this doesn't bother me much as I don't like chairs that move around. The amount of adjustments really sold me on this char and I couldn't be happier. One of the only chairs that lets you adjust how far in/out the seat area is --- and that helps align your back much better to the lumbar support. The cushions feel good now --- I may come back and update my review if I find the cushioning deteriorating too quickly. The only area of improvement (at least for me) is having the ability to push the arm rests up and out of the way completely. The arm rests do swivel a bit, which works well enough, and they keep their position well. This chair looks great --- modern without looking pretentious. The materials (especially the metal base) makes me think this chair is built to last. At my work, we use the Herman Miller Aeron chairs. This CLATINA model feels more comfortable and more adjustable --- a wonder considering those Herman Miller chairs cost about $1,000 more. Read more
