Update: I’ve since purchased another bottle for my husband and finished the first bottle completely with my husband. The first bottle lasted us about three months, the second bottle I ordered since December 11th. My husband’s skin looks transformed and all he does it cleanse his face with a splash of water, then put the oil on and not too much of it. For me, my skin has also improved. It looks much calmer but there were still visible comps ones and sometimes I used to get flare ups. I was grateful that it calmed my skin down but simultaneously it was around about a month after using it I started noticing dry flakes that were on my face. It was a sign that my face wasn’t properly being moisturized so I had to look for an alternative. What I use now, is different than jojoba. I gave Korean skincare a try and am currently using the Round Lab Pine Cica products. I have since noticed improvements since then and it’s only been almost a full week. My skin is properly moisturized and it seems much calmer. The pine also helps to kill bacteria in case there were any. I would say this jojoba oil for the purpose of treating comodones, it would vary for person and the duration of use also varies. For me it did the initial job of allowing the skin barrier to somewhat heal and calm down but it didn’t do more for me beyond that. For my husband it gives the moisture his skin needs. It’s been working to help my skin stay moisturized and protected from dirt especially now that the weather is cold, and I like that it’s not too oily. I purchased this oil specifically to help me with improving my fingernail cuticle health and allow my nails to grow back stronger. My cuticles really became a wreck with hangnails, peeling skin, and dry skin from a combination of years of gel manicures and a few really rough nail techs. I have had a few techs not listen to my request about not trimming cuticles, because they feel they were in rough shape. I use this jojoba oil 2-3 times a day using a specialized nail oil pen. I keep these pens everywhere nearby where I may feel the urge to pick or bite at my cuticles. Buying oil in bulk helps me keep the pens full and it is so economical. There is a one month gap between the lower images in my photos and the upper images. While I'm wearing a rubber gel in the top photos, I can say that when my nails are bare they just look amazing and so much more healthy. This oil was a huge part of the success; other tips were to stop picking, use a keratin strengthener on the nails, use glass files and file in only one direction, and consider a rubber gel polish because it skips the fusion layer and moves with the nail.
