Very impressed with this balm. I got the Ruby shade and its a great pink shade that leaves a light tint/stain which I love. Better than Burt’s Bees which doesn’t stay on long enough and doesn’t give much of a tint. Wish they had more colors in bright pink and a pinky purple. Very Moisturizing so that’s a plus. Slippery and nice, not sticky at all. The color is very very close to transparent when on skin. I had to swipe it many times to see the color on my lips. (Warm neutral) It smells a little strange, maybe that’s the squalene, I don’t know. If it smelled good or neutral it would maybe have 5 stars from me. It is cute how it looks like a lipstick but goes on mostly transparent. I’m hoping the healthy ingredients make a difference in the long run. If I see any miracles happen I’ll update my review. While I was never a heavy make-up user even in my youth, now that I am in my mid-50s, my make-up routine is down to a bare minimum. A little eye shadow and a little eye liner. That's pretty much it unless I have a special occasion or an important work event. I have a couple of glittery lip glosses I use for evening occasions, but really have not had anything that works for daytime. So when I saw this tinted lip balm, I was intrigued. Ordering anything online that involves color can be tricky, especially make-up. I wanted something that was a light pink. I was a little worried that the Radiant Ruby might be too bright, but I am pleased to report it is actually a very sheer berry color. It comes in a traditional lip stick tube, so much classier than your average lip balm. The balm is not at all sticky and goes on smooth, even when the tube is cold from being in my purse while outside. There is no scent or flavor other than your average lip balm. Similar to other lip balms, it doesn't have the durability of a lip stain, but doesn't smear off easily either. It does a nice job of providing hydration to my lips which is especially helpful in our cold Minnesota winters. At a price point of $13 USD, it is more expensive than a drug store lip balm, but on par with a nice lip stick which is how I've been wearing this. I chose the non tinted version of this hydrating lip balm specifically because it can also be used on dry cuticles. During the winter I definitely need both. I love that it’s truly multipurpose, so instead of carrying two separate products in my purse, I only need one. It comes in a beautiful gold lipstick style tube which makes it feel much more luxurious than a standard plastic chapstick. I’m personally not a fan of traditional chapsticks, and this balm is completely different, softer, non greasy, lightweight, and very smooth. It glides on effortlessly and feels comfortable on the lips. While I did reapply a couple of times throughout the day, my lips felt noticeably softer and healthier with continued use. What really impressed me though was the difference it made on my cuticles. I applied it to the cuticles on just one hand over three days, and the contrast between that hand and the untreated one was huge. The improvement was obvious. The ingredients truly seem to do exactly what’s advertised by repairing and softening both lips and skin. I definitely prefer this over standard chapsticks and will continue to keep it in my bag, especially during colder months. Read more

This is 001 Warm Nude. The packaging is beautiful, and the hefty weight really makes this feel like a high-quality lipstick, which I love. The product is definitely moisturizing, which is so great, especially in the dry winter air. The scent is nice, almost like old-fashioned cosmetics. Now, as for the tint, I'd expected a bit of a rosy glow to my lips, but it's almost entirely transparent. I don't necessarily mind that because this works well as a simple balm to protect and moisture my lips. But, tinted Burt's seems to impart more of a color than this does, when this looks and feels more like a lipstick. On that one point, I feel a bit disappointed. Read more
