I was a lifelong fan of men’s Gold Toe black cotton socks until they changed materials. I’ve been in search of socks that wick moisture effectively and have a moderate amount of elastic. I’ve worn these socks about two weeks. I give them top ratings for moisture control. The jury’s out on how they will deliver on comfort after they have had a chance to wear in. My first impression was they felt comfortable minus the constriction of the arch elastic band and slightly over tight ankle elastic. The extra elastic required more pulling to get the socks on and off. Once on they do stay in place well but the constricting sensation detracts from an otherwise exceptional sock. I forgot about the constricting sensation during the day but I’m not sure if the circulation in my 70 year old feet and ankles was adversely affected. I’m guessing this might not be a concern with younger people. For now I’m just deducting one star. I can’t speak to their durability either. What I like most is the feeling of the material and how they keep my feet dry. For the price I think they are worth a try. Read more
