I got these to use for roll and write style board games. I can't speak to longevity yet, but they work great! The only negative I noticed so far is that during the first use, my husband and I both noticed the print wearing off (see picture). I bought these since in the advertisements they state they can function as permanent markers when used on paper and such. They were also a great value and dry quickly on paper, so they're ideal for marking packages and such for my shipping business. This 72 pack of fine dry erase markers were perfect for the classroom to stock up ant the beginning and Mid-year when all the kids start to run out of dry erase markers. Every year about mid-way the teachers ask for more markers, and I was glad to see such a bulk volume of quality markers offered at a great price. I would not necessarily consider the tip as fine tipped versus ultra fine tip, but they still write clear and legible in small print. They erased as expected on the dry erase board and did not leave any permanent staining. After repeated use and erasing, I did use plain water to clean my dry erase board. The markers appeared fresh and the caps fit tight to preserve extended use. I would recommend these markers based on quality, quantity, function and value! Read more
As stated, these are nice dry erase markers with a standard - I wouldn't call it "ultra fine" - tip. These tips are around 2-3 mm, not the sub 1mm for "fine" nor lower than that for "ultra fine". That being said, they work great on the standard whiteboard but what I get the most use out of is wet-erase markers for my pen and paper RPGs, so I gave that a shot. Obviously, everyone knows using dry erase markers on a vinyl mat isn't going to have stellar results when it comes time to remove them, but good news - these go on fine, and with a squirt of water, they come off easily with no real residue or ink left behind.
