Just wow. Functional, gorgeous, thoughtfully structured.
Just got it this morning, and after inspecting the hardware, the stitching, and the leather, the first test was to take everything out of my briefcase and find a spot for it in the bag. Flying colors, my friend. I loaded everything in my briefcase and everything in my current backpack, and it all fit in thoughtfully placed compartments without looking or feeling bulky, which is exactly what I was looking for in a professional’s travel bag. ✅ I have a 15-inch Mac book air, a 13” MacBook Air, and an iPad Pro, and all 3 fit in the padded laptop compartment, with room to spare. ✅ I put all the associated charging cables and cubes in the larger front pocket. I also fit my earbuds, 4x6x2ish Bluetooth speaker, and some folded grocery bags, all without making it bulky. ✅ I put sanitary items and scrunchies in the small front pocket. ✅ I put pens and wallet in the larger lining pocket and the smaller lining pocket above it is perfect for keys, phone and lip balm comfortably (as in, not stuffed). ✅ That’s all without even touching the main compartment, which now only needs to hold a makeup bag, medicine bag, sunglasses case, and hand sanitizer. All this without the bag becoming unshapely or bulky. ✅ The nylon straps and buckles are pretty heavy duty. Tugging on the ends easily tightens and lifting the buckle tab easily loosens. I will say that the zippers don’t strike me as particularly hardy or heavy duty, but all operate as expected. I thought the straps were decently wide and acceptably comfy (I was worried they’d be too slim or bother my neck by coming up too high, but they don’t), and again the bag kept its beautiful trim profile while being worn. I put it on to observe how weight is distributed. I can identify 2 places where some wear might appear: 1. the bottom of the straps. They attach to the bag horizontally, as opposed to an inclined angle (see picture). So if worn too low, or on one side with heavy items inside, the leather on the main body might wear from tugging. 2. The zippers. I can see them misaligning easily if trying to zip/unzip one-handed while hanging full weight by the handle. So I plan to treat those spots with care: keeping it higher on my back so less weight is on the bottom seam of the straps and holding/resting from the bottom so the zippers don’t get janky. It’s beautifully lined and thoughtfully designed, and the leather is treated so it won’t get easily scratched. It really is a work of art, like the video reviewer said. So elegant and classy af, and I didn’t detect any weird odors (like some reviews had mentioned), just the new-leather smell. Only time will tell how it holds up. I’ll keep an eye out for how wear appears and let yall know! But I’m so so pleased with how it looks and organizes, giving name brands a run for the money. Just wow. Read more
