They are very bright and supper easy install. I am old and prefer bright lights so I use 12 of them in a two car garage, it was overkill. I could have been happy with six lights. I've been shopping for a while for my lighting. All the reasonable LED lams are low wattage, very expensive or simply inappropriate for my needs ( I won't even go into the 'flimsy' aspect), so I bought a two-pack of these 24 watt sticks. All the hardware, cords and plugs were included to daisy chain or mount separately in different locations. The construction, simple, instructions in plain English are clear and it's reasonably well made. The clear plastic cover for the LEDs is reasonable material and typical - don't squeeze it. It's there to keep your mitts off the LEDs. Hold by the ends or metal part (Instructions left that out). Mounted without any hassles. Cord's is decent quality and the in-line rocker switch has a solid feel. Click switch on cord first impression: Whoaaaaa. These lights are bright !!! REAL Bright. My Use: Perfect for my rotary tool/ lathe workstation. I mounted so I can rotate them at the wall to eliminate glare, the reflected light still totally floods my workspace. Looking back: For the price (about $20 ea. after tax) I expected much lesser intensity. I bought two, thinking: They mean 24 'PRC Watts'. Yeah right. Probably end up a night-light in the closet. I mounted two sets of these on top of my bookcases for uplighting in a dark room. They work great! the lighting level is amazingly good and it really brightens the room like daylight. They were easy to mount, the cords were a good length too. I wouldn't want to look directly at them, however, so if you plan to use them on the ceiling, make sure they are several feet up. Read more

I bought these fixtures to replace two older 24-inch 17W T8 fluorescent fixtures in my home office (each atop adjacent bookcases providing light reflected off the ceiling), since I'm down to my last fluorescent bulb and decided to switch to LED. They arrived packaged in a small box barely big enough for the two fixtures + accessories, with that box placed in a significantly bigger box, but without any padding material. I was a little concerned about possible damage able to bounce around like that, but they arrived in perfect condition and work just fine. They appear to be pretty robust, and decent quality for the price. I took some photos of the included user manual with specifications, the specifications sticker on the bottom of the light fixture, the accessories that were included, and a side-by-side comparison of the new LED fixture to the old T8 fluorescent fixture. The accessories are as described, except that I only received one of the two end caps (wish I had both, as I'm not using them in series). Even though I'm not using it at the moment, the 12" connector cord (for using them in series) is nice; but I think it would be more useful if it were longer. They did include plastic drywall inserts for the screws, which is helpful (not in product description). I installed one of the new LED fixtures next to one of the old 24-inch 17W T8 fluorescent fixtures. I was disappointed to see that the light output from the LED fixture isn't much more than that from the fluorescent fixture (and that fluorescent bulb is many years old). This surprises me, as the LED fixture uses 24 watts, compared to 17 watts for the fluorescent. And the main reasons I selected this fixture was the light output (advertised as 2680 lumens, which should be significantly brighter--theoretically more than double--than the fluorescent), the color rendering index (CRI), and the color temp (6000K). For example, the fluorescent fixtures I have don't specify a lumen output, but they say they provide a light output equivalent to that of a typical 75-watt incandescent light bulb, which is around 1100 lumens (and this is under a frosted diffuser). Also, the specifications in the included user manual for the LED fixtures (see photos) indicate the brightness as 2480 lumens, not the 2680 lumens advertised above. I was also looking for a CRI in the high 80s to preferably 90 or better, which is hard to find. This was the only listing of the many I considered that advertised a CRI as high as 90 (all others were 80 to 85). But the specifications in the included user manual indicate a CRI of at least 83--not the advertised 90. So I took one star off for the lower than expected light output, and the specifications being lower than that advertised above. I do like the whiter 6000K light compared to the yellowy 4200K flourescent output. I don't recommend installing them where you could look directly at the light unless you get fixtures with a frosted diffuser; I looked at one from a few feet away, and I was seeing stars in my eyes (all those little LED chips) for quite a while; ouch. While it isn't the big improvement in light output I was expecting, it's still a little brighter than what I had (though my electric bill will go up a little), and I do like the whiter light. So it looks like I'll still need an extra lamp for detailed drawings and fine repair work. Regarding longevity, only time will tell; but they do seem well-made.
