I have two of these batteries because they are THAT good (can charge iOS devices faster than wall warts) and have been carrying them around in some miscellaneous mesh bag. But once you include three or four cables, it started to become an unruly mess. This case solves that problem and more. Relatively compact when closed it is reasonably rigid and can't be squished down the way a bag can (though it will take up slightly more space in a backpack or other luggage). Construction quality is as high as one can expect for such an item. Well thought out placement of elastic bands and mesh storage pocket. If you have a battery and need a case, this will work. Great case for protecting the PowerCore II; however, it was considerably larger than I expected. It is too large to carry in anything smaller than a large shoulder bag or a backpack, so it seems to defeat the purpose of the pocket-size portability of the charger. But the charger does fit nicely in its compartment, and there is plenty of room of peripherals such as cables. Smells really bad upon arrival. Needed to be aired out for awhile. And it is considerably bigger than the charging unit. The bummer about the newer battery pack is it is fractionally larger than the older version requiring this much larger case. Wish I hadn’t jumped at the newer model charger. This is a durable case and made specifically for the Anker PowerCore Slim as noted. It fits the power bank plus a couple of charging cables easily. I would say it is more like a semi-hard case... Hard to me is hard plastic with no compression at all. This is a fabric covered soft plastic box with a zipper. This means there is some give in the closure and it can be compressed slightly. It is perfect for travel and I would not expect this to be an issue, but if you need something that absolutely is not compressible, this is not it. Read more
