I purchased these coasters because I use coasters all over my house. I use them at my desk, my coffee table, my nightstands, by the pool and jacuzzi....everywhere. They came here packaged really well and it took me two seconds to put the stand together. The black stand is plastic and is very sturdy. The coasters themselves are pretty amazing. Either side of the coasters do not scratch. They are so well made. If there is any condensation, I don't have to worry. These coasters will absorb any liquid, so you do not have to worry about it ruining your furniture what so ever. They are sewn together really well and super soft. I love the different color options. I can take these outside by the pool or jacuzzi and not have to worry about scratches on my outdoor furniture. These do not slip. Have you ever put a glass on a coaster to watch it slip off or move from the condensation? Well because this is a fabric sewn material, you don't have to worry about that. If you spill some coffee on it or juice, just hand wash it in the sink and set it on the counter to air dry. It's that simple. This set of eight, cotton coasters are tightly woven, sturdy, and durable. The cotton rope is very soft and absorbent. The coasters are well-made and large enough to fit under my mugs and glassware. The mixed-brown color that I chose is very pretty and easy to keep clean. I don't need the included holder for the coasters, so I am using it for office accessories. Love these , they are very well made, and come in handy, when your cup is on them, they don’t move , which is nice, just don’t try to move with a drink on them . Why are coasters so expensive? I was tired of paying such high prices for those little things until I found these. They're perfect and no, they're not like the thirsty stone brand, but they get the job done and they're cute.
