Cocoweb 19 LED Upright Piano Desk Lamp - Black - DLED-GPS

Bought this for our Yamaha Clavinova. Appreciate both the function and style of this piano lamp. The light is wide enough for a large book. The lamp adjusts both near the base and near the light so that you can find the perfect height and angle. The light also has rotational adjustment so that you can direct it. The base is heavy and sturdy and the lamp will not fall over. The on/off knob is also a full dimmer. It looks fantastic sitting on our piano...clean, simple, classic but modern. This review is about the lamp I ended up with after an exchange — i.e., what is pictured: the 12-16" Ht Adjustable LED Piano Lamp - Black/Brass Accents (PLED100AD). Originally I ordered the 19" LED Upright Piano Desk Lamp - Black (DLED-GPS), but that turned out to be not what I needed, and Cocoweb very kindly & efficiently did an exchange after assessing my needs. The lamp functions nicely to illuminate the sheet music I’m trying to read/play. My piano has too much glossy plastic and that can reflect lamp light, but I should be looking at the music, not the keys;=} and that could happen with other lamps, so not a deal-breaker — and well worth the tradeoff to have this lamp. The lamp is sufficiently weighted -- not top-heavy, and is well-made & sturdy despite its delicate (svelte) appearance. Being able to adjust the brightness is a bonus. Absolutely love this piano light. It is heavy enough at the base, that it doesn’t tip, even with full extension of the lighting arm. It fits perfectly on the music desk beside the music, fully illuminates all of the notes, and is dimmable to whatever brightness you choose. We bought a black one, and it looks perfect, unobtrusive, and high quality, complimenting our grand piano. I love that it doesn’t attach to anything. The bottom of the lamp is felted. The detachable power cord is long and very thin/ lightweight. The lamp doesn’t interfere with raising or lowering the lid of the piano. Highly, highly recommend! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Love this light!!! Did not want a light that would distract from my beautiful grand piano. It has a perfect heavy base.it will be as dim or as bright as you need! Going to buy another one for our church! Read more

The only issue I have with this lamp is the clamps on the arms don't go as tight as I'd like. They don't clamp tight enough to lock the arm in place against light pressure from a hand or possibly a stiff breeze. I've got mine adjusted and it stays, but more clamping ability on the elbow clamps would be good. Read more

This is a very nice light. The comments about the balance are accurate and there is a problem if you have to extend the arm all the way out to reach your music holder such as I did for a grand piano. I'm adding some weight to the base so it is not on the verge of tipping over all the time. Read more
