So far, so good. I have only used it for 3 days, so can't speak to long term reliability. I will check back if there are any issues. The unit is heavy and solid; the pieces fit together well. It does have a power supply "brick" but that's not a problem as I can tuck it behind the coffee station I have set up and the cord is long enough to choose where to put it. Otherwise it has s sleek, modern look with a small footprint. It grinds consistently well, but as others have noted, slowly, which I don't mind. It is relatively quiet. I have used the grinder for Aeropress and espresso and it has worked equally well. Some have said they don't think it grinds fine enough for espresso, but I have not found that to be the case. It works best between 2.5 and 3.0 for espresso for me, using a Breville Barista Express. It is easy enough to clean and the bellows keeps the gears clear between cleanings. It is much better than the integrated grinder on the Express which is inconsistent. I can't speak to static electricity as I put a couple of spritzers of water on the beans before grinding to prevent that. The price was great and the product seems well made. Read more

THIS is by far the best grinder, PERIOD! it solves all the issues with grinding (static, having to bump your grinder around to release grinds stuck in the machine, etc). It is well designed and solid construction. feels very heavy duty. All the parts are simple and metal. I can see this lasting for a long long time. The ONLY downside is the power supply. Its like an old laptop power supply. very bulky on a countertop. Its a Keerda 24v 4A 96w ad adapter with a DC barrel plug. I wish there was a smaller power adapter to power this but that type of power (24 volts at 4 amps) only comes in ac adapter type power supplies as far as I know. Not totally sure. In any case, ive tried many conical grinders (Hamilton Beach, OXO, Fellow) and the OXO Conical Burr Coffee Grinder was the best of all ive had. I've also tried the OXO compact grinder which is horrible. its such a hassle to use and messy. Now this grinder is my favorite. I love the pump feature to push grinds out. that is GENIUS! and then the magnetic base and anti static discharge. all things you need. But most of all its a top down grinder and thats what you want. all others have annoying steps you gotta take to get your grinds. You want to be able to load beans on the top and they come out in a cup. This grinder is SOLID and the conical grinder is very nice. You can clean it too. Everything is very easy yet high quality. Great-simple-consistent performing budget espresso grinder. As a Design Professional (Industrial Designer). I can really appreciate the overall design and performance of this grinder. This simple but very well engineered grinder performs well beyond its $145 price tag. Pros: All metal construction (built like a tank!) Simple to use (Just on off switch and grind setting dial) 24 volt DC motor is lower RPM and leads to slightly slower but no overheating when grinding. Nice finish options ( mat black or anodized aluminum) Great dosing cup design and fitment. Very low (if any) retention and efficient bellows to blow out after grind Fine - Precise gind adjustment Superb packaging design (almost like an Apple product) CONS: Limited (but sufficient) adjustment range for espresso Power supply is an issue , but small enough to hide behind my Rancilio Sylvia. A bit on the slow grinding side (but fits into work flow nicely) Documentation not great but hardly needed! Should come with warranty registration link or mail in card I'm still working on getting my process dialed in, but confident this great little grinder will be a great long term partner to my Rancilio Sylvia at a fraction of the cost of similarly designed conical burr grinders. Would certainly recommend if you want to spend less than $200 or more on a grinder. Read more

I’m starting my small home coffee station, and of course, the most important thing is a good grinder that doesn’t break the bank. Pros: • Metal construction – it feels very solid. • The conical burrs are also made of metal. • The adjustment dial has a satisfying click feel. • Comes with a magnetic coffee receptacle, a brush, and a spray bottle. Cons: • Grind consistency isn’t as good as I’d like, especially for coarser grinds. There’s a noticeable amount of fines, which can make certain brewing methods harder to get right. For example, when brewing V60, the filter tends to clog due to the finer particles, even when grinding around 40 out of 100 possible steps. Neutral: • Depending on your brewing habits, you should consider this: the hopper only holds about 35–40 grams of coffee. If you need to grind large quantities, this isn’t the grinder for you, as it’s designed for single dosing. Read more

I absolutely love this grinder! I have had it for about a month now, so durability, I cannot speak to just yet. The Viesimple Gen 4 has completely transformed my espresso routine. It’s incredibly consistent, and every shot I pull is 18g in with 36g out in 30 sec. I was previously relying on the built-in grinder on my Breville, and the difference is night and day; this grinder is way more precise. The single-dose design is super convenient, the magnetic dosing cup makes cleanup easy, and the anti-static feature really works...no more messy grounds flying everywhere. It’s also much quieter than I expected, which is a nice bonus for early mornings. At the price point it's at, I did not expect it to perform as well as it does. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that it does not automatically turn off after grinding. You do have to start/stop it. Not a big issue for me, though. If you want repeatable, café-quality results at home, this grinder delivers. Worth every penny! Read more
