There are nine parts, but the brush can clean the corners. The plastic material is lightweight and firm. This last time I tried to use it, the locking mechanism broke sending all the little springs etc flying. It’s disappointing. I paid the full price and it took like a month to arrive. Terrible product!!!! I seldomly write reviews however I bought this juicer a few months ago and it’s trash! It continuously got clogged and was often hard to dissemble to clean. It had a tough time with the celery getting caught making it unable to take a part to clean it. I wish I hadn’t wasted time or money with this machine.
