THE ONLY OXFORD YOU NEED! This Oxford makes Oxford sneakers useless. It has the looks of a real Oxford with the comfort of an oxford hybrid sneaker. So cole haan is known for sneaker oxfords, like the zero grand or original grand. They are oxfords with soles of sneakers for extra comfort but their soles are white and obviously look like well… sneakers. The original grand and zero grand are very comfortable but their soles are frankly pretty ugly and bright white and are shaped like Hoka or Nike soles. But these Cole Haan Go to Oxfords have thick rubber EVA sneaker soles too, but unlike the original grand and zero grand they’re shaped like traditional oxford heels and are colored black. So you get an Oxford sneaker that is still very comfortable and has a plush sneaker footbed but it looks like a real Oxford! The toe box also looks slim while having plenty of room. Some other oxfords either have tiny toe boxes that cramp your feet or huge toe boxes that make you look like you have clown feet. (Looking at you rockport Charles road…) (it’s another Oxford that has a rubber sneaker sole shaped like a traditional oxford heel and colored black.) So all in all these are a perfect do it all. The looks and formality of a real Oxford but the comfort of a sneaker Oxford hybrid. I was originally going to get a real Oxford (Cole Haan Modern essentials Cap toe Oxford) for formal events and an Oxford hybrid ( Cole Haan Zero grand) to wear for comfortable everyday use. But with the cole haan go to Oxford I don’t need either! This one does both. I can wear it everyday to work or with nicer outfits without sacrificing looks like the original grand or zero grand. And honestly looks better than the cole haan modern essentials Oxford, the toe box and heel on it is too thin looking in my opinion. This one is more balanced looking with a thicker sole which makes it more comfortable too. The only downside? The brown one comes with a white sole so it can only be used casually and it’s more obvious the sole is a rubber sneaker sole on that model since it’s bright colored while the black one hides the rubber sneaker sole a lot better. Please make the brown one with a black sole! Those would be the only oxfords I ever need. For now for my brown oxfords needs, I’ll have to have a zero grand for daily comfort casual and a regular Allen Edmonds for looks and formality.
