Great for yeast starters

Brent WilliamsOctober 18, 2023✓ Verified purchase

Homebrewers like me will enjoy its size and relatively flat bottom that works fine with a stir plate. I heat it up on the stove, no prob. Does its thing for a day or two, clean it up, and then store it until next time! Read more

Not a bad purchase

Used in conjunction with a weight scale as the marked off readings on the flask are slightly off. But the flask itself is super hefty. I use this for a yeast starter and because the flask is not flat bottomed it can be tricky to get the bar to line up properly. Simply swirl the flask to create a vortex centering the bar works. I don’t trust that it will take extreme temperature change so I never put any hot wort in it. So far this has worked out great. Read more

Very nice lage flash.

It was too large... I wasn't able to use it for what I needed. I needed this to boil some roots and not break... but I needed to get some 2500s, not this monster. I'll use it for something else, I didn't want to return it because it was a nice piece of glass I could use later for something. Read more

Great products and great deals too. Used them 4 months so far to make media and no sign of crack after multiple times of autoclaving. Will buy more. Read more
