I now consider this an essential Tesla accessory. While my iPhone pairs with my Model 3, and is semi reliable in opening the door from my left back pocket, there are simply too many times the car doesn't respond. I have to take out my phone and wake the screen. Then there are the times in in the driver's seat and the car wants me to touch my Tesla card to the center console. Suffice it to say the ceramic ring looks gorgeous and is always easily available on my right ring finger, perfect for unlocking driver door and using left hand for mechanism. The icing on the cake is approximating the ring under the lip of the console armrest to dispel pesky 'Touch Keycard' messages! Love it. Note: when you see people complain the ring doesn't work or stops working, they don't understand the technique, expecting instantaneous unlock. Rest bent knuckles on door pillar and pause 1 or 2 seconds. Bam. Mirrors rotate out and door unlocks reliably. Take a breath and relax. It works and you'll grow to really appreciate it. Read more

So the ring kinda works for unlocking the car, you have to take it off your finger and put it near the sensor, I tried everything angle it just will not work with it on the finger, durability was garbage it lasted just long enough to make it out of the return/replacement window and it separated there is 2 (layers?) To the ring and they came undone so it kept catching on my skin and pinching me, for the price it is not worth it and it's basically just an expensive waste of money, I was so excited by the reviews and now I'm not sure if I just got a dud or if there is something else going on. If I could rate it 0 I would but I cant Read more

Like me, you may leave your car without your phone, without your wallet and without your purse when you go on adventures. If fitted properly, this ring stays with you always. I ordered two different ring sizes just to get the perfect fit, then returned one with no problem. It doesn't use batteries. It's waterproof. It's as hard as zirconia diamonds. You never have to think about it while wearing it. Imagine, no more leaving your keyfob under the tire, behind the mud flaps or under a rock somewhere. All your other valuables can now be locked safely in the frunk. This is most secure because thieves can not get into the frunk from inside the passenger compartment of the car, if you use a PIN but don't forget to turn off your phone's bluetooth if you leave your phone in the car. To use the ring correctly just follow these flawless steps and it will unlock every time: 1. Move ring as close as you can behind the 2nd knuckle of your middle finger. 2. Only bend your fingers at the second knuckle. Do not make a fist. 3. Place the front of your second knuckle to left center of the door pillar below the camera. *Some other variations may work for you but the open part of the ring must be very close, parallel to and open facing the pillar. Seems tricky at first but you will get used to it in no time. Update... It separated after two years of use. Maybe because of hand washing with solvents. Its probably past warrantee and i could not contact the seller. The chip and the antenna still work so I glued it back together myself. Read more

The fit and finish is great and the ring does work as intended. But the ring has to be positioned just right (see pictures in the listing), not too close, not too far, not parallel, not perpendicular, but just right. It usually takes me several tries. I cannot find a better alternative right now, so I'm keeping it, but I wish I could use it over a broader area, like with the original key card. Before buying, I bought a cheap ring sizer (looks like a wire tie) from Amazon. That was helpful. After buying, the first thing I noticed was the Tesla logo is very small and barely noticeable. If I had to buy again, I would not bother getting the logo. But I definitely would buy again. Read more

all the reviews on amazon are old. this ring has to be removed from my finger to work but that is nor really a problem for me. when it is off my finger it is easy to pair and lock unlock and start 2019 Model 3. it seems waterproof but i'm having trouble finding anywhere Colmo says it is waterproof. if it is not, i'm guessing the chip and/or antenna inside may corrode and eventually stop working. if this happens i will try to document any problems here. 10 January 2020: plenty of hand washing etc & still looking and working good Read more

I love the look and feel (form and fit) of this ring. Unfortunately the function lacks. It’s challenging at times to unlock the car and use it as a key to drive. Bottom line, I cannot make it work without taking the ring off and that is an inconvenience. However, and to be fair, I don’t have anything similar to compare it to so its hard to make an absolute value judgment call; but if I had to purchase another one I may try another brand. Read more

Bought this ring to use with my '21 MYLR, as a backup to my phone and card key. The size (diameter & width) are right on, it looks unblemished after a month's 24x7 wear & tear, and it does a good job as an RFID fob. Note that I do have to remove the ring from my finger and hold it against the car's B pillar for the car's near field sensor to detect it: just holding my (size 12) ringed finger against the sensor only works 1 in 15 times on average (Yes, I counted). Other than that it is a fine product which I'm glad I bought and would buy again. Read more

It worked pretty well, but after approximately 6 months of wearing the ring on a daily basis, it now produces a painful, burning redness and white mark on my finger. I am unable to use it, and have no way to contact the company. Read more
