I bought this same set of small trash bags several years ago. They had a smell that was light and not overpowering. I really liked them but when I was almost out I wanted to buy more. I was a little nervous buying them again after reading the reviews. Several people said they were smaller and were much thinner. But I took a chance and bought them. I'm very happy I did. The new bags are the same length as the old ones and approximately 1/4 inch less width which makes no difference to me. They fit my small trash cans perfectly and I couldn't tell any difference in the thickness. They work well for cleaning the litter box and had no trouble with them tearing.
