I needed a new waterproof and breathable rain jack and bought this on. I looked at the reviews and prices and I also trusted the Columbia name. I'm an old(er) man and though Columbia and I have both been around a long time, I've never bought one of their products before. This jacket does what its claimed to do, keeps me dry and its breathable. It also lightweight and packs small. Since I've just bought it, I can't say anything about its durability or longevity, but it seems well-made, should go the distance and the company has a good reputation. My old rain jacket was wearing out after only a couple of decades (how about that) so it was time. Personally, I don't like products with large visible logos but I ate the bullet on this one and bought it anyway. I would have paid more for the same item without a logo, but that may be just me.
