It did seem that someone had worn the boots I received before I got them. Much of the packaging was gone out of the box and there seemed to be a slight scuff on the back of one of the boots. However, I decided to keep the boots after trying them on. They fit very well, and it so very hard to find comfortable black boots in my shoe size. These fit well and are low to the ground, so they work for comfort and moving around. I was also able to wear them with my 3/4 slim orthotics. I bought the 8-1/2 wide in brown which is my usual size. Very comfortable and great looking. Note that there were what looked like small scuffs on both heel seams, or possibly manufacturer flaws, which I fixed in a minute with a brown marker. I might get the black next if my size becomes available. Read more

I like the boots themselves. They are attractive and comfortable, but the upper part of the boot is crazy wide; WAY too wide for my legs, and I’m not a small gal. It looks bulky and spoils the look of the boot in my opinion, but I kept them snyway because they’re comfortable and were reasonably inexpensive. Read more

I normally buy Rockport, Comfortiva and Cobb Hill and other higher end shoe brands in a 7W and they fit perfectly. I wanted a non-leather boot to wear in inclement weather. I could not get my foot past the top of the boot to even try them on. This is not a true W width. Read more
