It works really well and does the job. Holds the soap well. Last little bits of soap don't seem to fall through the drain hole, which I was concerned with. Has stayed on very well on my bathroom wall, when properly installed left not abused (see below.) I don't deduct stars for the following as I consider it circumstance to how I used the product, not to the products quality, just sharing so you think through yourself: 1. The Instructions tell you to rub the area of wall/shower with isotropic alcohol first. THIS IS IMPORTANT. I blew it off the first time and it fell down after only a few showers. But the special version of the 3M strips used in the shower really need this. You should be able to get a small bottle or wipes at any grocer for only a couple bucks. (I actually found my first aid wipes were the right type) This and the rest of my Shower stuff has stayed on well since I did attach this way. 2. Think carefully on where you put it in your shower, and how you move around in your shower. The first two locations I placed it seemed very logical for where I'd like to reach/see via convenience, but then I realized this was right at elbow height and stuck out more than the typical shower built in soap areas, so I kept knocking it off hard. (Actually scratched myself pretty good at one point and broke top part of the clips... still got it to stay in the final position without that part, just not as easily.) An out of the way location might not seem as convenient, but slight reach vs breaking it is worth it. (I.e back of the shower rather than right under the shower head) Read more

I was skeptical about purchasing this product, however needed a bar soap bath dish for recently remodeled bathroom. I trusted the 3M bath/shower products having had success with hooks, etc. performing in a wet environment. I read the instructions carefully and followed them closely. Using the time estimates in the instructions is very important. I've installed and used this for over six months and tested it for looseness or decay in the "hold strength" and did not find any deterioration. I'm surprised and very happy with this purchase. Great to see American ingenuity at work. Read more

It holds the soap, it's easy to clean, and it adheres beautifully in the shower. What's not to love? As usual with Command products, it's the racket of not providing ANY replacement strips in the initial purchase. If you don't get it stuck on right the first time, you can't do a do-over without purchasing a replacement package, which is nearly 2/3 the cost of the base product. And even then what you get is a single set of medium strips which fit this product, and *two* sets of large strips which fit the corner shower caddy. But what if you just bought the soap dispenser? Then you have four strips you don't need. It's a total consumer exploitation because they know they have an amazing product. Read more

We were renting an apartment with a small bathroom that had very limited space in the tub area for anything. There was a little ledge on the side of the tub for soap, but the drainage was terrible, so we were going through soap like it was going out of style. I ended up getting one of these soap dishes, especially since it's a rental unit and we needed something that could be safely removed without causing any damage to the tile. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! Some people complain about these types of products, saying that they fall off easily or that they don't stick properly. The truth is, unless you got defective adhesive strips, there really is no question about how strong the grip is on those things. Make sure you wipe down the surface as well as you possibly can with a cleaning solution, dry it off completely (rubbing alcohol really does the trick), the stick it on quickly. Apply a generous amount of pressure, and you're good to go! After months of use and at least two showers running in that tub every day, the soap dish didn't even budge, and it was wonderful for draining any water and waving the soap from needlessly melting away. Highly recommend! ** EDIT: I have been meaning to add to this review once we left the apartment, because I wanted to make sure it was as easy and clean to remove as I had hoped - it was! Just as an FYI to anyone who is worried about a lease and damaging property, feel free to use this dish in your bathroom and know that you can remove it when you leave, like it was never even there. If my review has helped you in any way, please let me know, or hit "Yes" under this review. Thank you! :) Read more

I can never find these in store ever. I always have to order off Amazon so I wonder if Command doesn't make this style anymore, but it's my favorite. Easy to install, holds up well, and easy to clean. I've purchased 2 others prior and they all lasted until I took them down (moved to a new apartment). Highly recommend these. Read more
