Our kitchen has these odd panels of white textured plastic covering the walls. Despite that, this shelf has held. I needed a shelf by the front door that could hold my probiotic and gloves/hat in the winter. It's perfect for our little house with barely any inner front door area. I did have trouble when putting it up because the plastic clips that hold the whole thing on are horrible to push off..breaking-a-nail-awful to get off. You're supposed to take off the shelf for 24 hrs after you stick it, leaving just the strips and plastic clips. But..I stuck the whole thing on the wall and left it alone for 24 hrs and hoped. Turned out just fine. Read more

I selected this over all the other shower shelf options for two reasons. Firstly because it is attached with 3M Command adhesive strips. I’ve owned a shower mirror held up with the Command strips for over two years and not had any problems. Some of the other shower shelves are held up with suction cups and I’ve had bad luck with those in the past. (My old shower mirror was held up with suction cups and every few months it would detach from the wall and leap to the floor.) Others are attached with adhesives and I wasn’t sure what residue they would leave when removed; the Command strips remove cleanly. Secondly the shelf is made of stainless steel and not prone to rust; and the wire design means water won’t pool on the shelf. I do wish more thought had gone into its design though. The open front allows shorter things to fall out and the spacing of the wires on the bottom is wide enough to allow a razor to fall through if it’s not placed at an angle across a couple of wires. When hanging the shelf the instructions say not to use household cleaners to clean the surface. Ignore that. First clean the surface VERY WELL with whatever it takes to remove all dirt, soap scum, and hard water scale, then RINSE WELL to completely remove all residue, dry, and finally clean with the included alcohol pad. Once the alcohol has completely evaporated install the shelf. You should also clean the back of the mounting base with alcohol and allow it to evaporate prior to applying the Command strips. Then follow the rest of the manufacturer’s instructions October 2020 update: Still firmly attached to my fiberglass shower enclosure. Read more

Have had these up in our shower for literally 3 years and we have stored heavy shampoos, conditioners, body washes, bath brushes, etc., and they are STILL holding up. Even went through a couple weeks with no AC (in the excessively humid southern US), and they haven’t budged. Great value for the money. Very useful organization option in a rental. Drains well so no sludge or soap scum build up. Very easy to install. Purchased after property management complained about our overloaded shower caddy on the shower head. Fiberglass shower, no damage. Excellent product. It’s August 2025, and I bought them in November 2022. Read more

Update, as of Nov 30, 2019: I bought a couple packs of the "bath" adhesive strips. Tried re-hanging on a different part of the glass wall (after cleaning with acetone and isopropyl alcohol) and got the same result. It fell after about a day. I then tried hanging the unit on the tile part of the shower wall, where I've used other 3M Command products in the past (Shave mirror, soap dish, hanging hooks, etc.) It's been a month, and so far so good. This is definitely the heaviest load I've ever supported with this type of product in a wet location. Slightly miffed that it doesn't actually work on glass despite what the label says, but it seems solid enough on tile, which is good enough to increase the rating from one star to four. Original review from a month ago below: I'm a big 3M Command fan in general. Soap dishes, towel hangers, shave mirrors, most have worked very well. Moving into a new house, needed something to hold a shampoo bottle, a body-wash bottle, and a face-wash bottle in a large walk-in shower with no shelving. Cleaned the glass thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and mounted the unit as usual. Waited 48 hours before putting anything into it. The attached photo is what I found after coming home today, after having taken exactly one shower since putting it into use. Gonna have to find a different solution for this problem. Read more

I was looking for an under the sink caddy to tidy up the kitchen countertop area. I have PVC cabinets, so the caddy had to adhere to very smooth surfaces as I did not want to mar or warp the cabinet doors. I came across this shower caddy and noted that it was made to adhere in moist areas with tile (smooth surfaces) so I gave it a shot. Wow, this worked out fantastically. Enough space for dish and hand soap, several sponges, washcloth, and as a bonus, the sink drain plug which usually has no proper home! It is made to hold 6 lbs of items, so it is very sturdy for this purpose. It is solidly holding to the PVC and looks great. I may buy more as I see a few more possibly uses in the mud room and closets. This product works and is a great find. Just use your imagination for those tough to store small objects...this item will work wonders! Read more
