Used as a coat hook for a few years now and held strong for my coat and robe... Until I put my full work bag on a hook which included a 3lb bag of pistachios so well over the limit which is my fault. It did hold that bag for a few days though before it broke. I figured I would write a review while I search for one with a higher weight capacity to replace the broken one. Love my command hooks, these are no exception. The KEY to any command hook is to use alcohol wipes to clean the wall before you put the sticky strip on the wall (imperative to do this). Then place the strip on the wall and hold for 30 seconds or more hard. Wait 24-48 hours to put the other side in and before having it hold weight. I followed package instructions and simple as that my Thanksgiving wreath is up on my door! Since my door is brown, I appreciate that the hook is dark so as to not stand out (too bad it's not dark brown, but oh well). The hooks of c a quality plastic material and I think since my wreath is one that hangs by a small string I could've sized down but that's okay too.
