My family of four switched to electric toothbrushes a few years ago, and our two young sons must chew on their toothbrush heads at the rate we burn through them. While I'm happy to encourage good dental hygiene, the proprietary replacement heads were threatening to become their own line item in our annual healthcare budget. When these popped up on Amazon as a generic alternative, I'll admit that I was seduced by their price point but when we switched out the old heads and used these, I was delighted by how clean they got my teeth. I have been using the round "Precision Clean" style brush heads with my Oral-B Pro brush. Recently, my dental hygienist recommended that I try different types of brush heads or brushing angles as I started to have more plaque built up than before. I then found this generic brush heads with the CrossAction design. I've been using it for several days now, and I have to say it does make a world of difference. The brush head does what it supposed to do as the plaque built up is drastically improved. Best of all, it is cheaper than the name brand version! I've purchased this company's replacement heads before and have been very happy with them. I can feel them cleaning between the teeth as well as the surface. They were very long lasting (6+ months) and these newly configured ones should do the same. The only reason this purchase wasn't totally satisfactory is the previous packages contained four normal heads and four sensitive heads, and this buy was only with the normal heads. Update: The first brush head I tried worked great...for about a month and then the head no longer rotated. It just vibrated a little. The second one did the same, as did the third. On closer look all the Oral B brush heads, as well as the first package of these I purchased (the brush heads worked fine even after 3 months), had a metal "drive pin" that I'm guessing transferred the movement of the motor unit to the brush head. All the brush heads in this new packet are missing that metal piece, probably replaced by plastic, which wears out in less than a month of use. Total disappointment and waste of money. Read more
