Compressed Air Duster Koonie 15000mAh Cordless Air Duster Vacuum 2 in 1 Powerful 77000RPM 11000PA 2 Speeds Electric

I use these mostly for work cleaning medical equipment, but it's nice to have one around the house as well. So much more useful than canned air. Although not as powerful in a single precision spot, they offer much more air over a general area and don't leave residue on glass lenses. I have no use for them as a vac, but in what little testing I did previously, they are not worth buying for the vac feature alone. I had 2 models of opolar brand previous to this. The biggest improvement the Koonie offers is the battery status gauge. This alone was worth buying a new one because I never knew how much longer the others would last so I was constantly charging them. Plus the larger battery capacity is a bonus. Uses a USB-C charger located on the side but note: it only works if the USB-C cord has USB-A on the other end (as provided). If your cord has USB-C on both ends, it will not work (many devices are like this and completely ruins the point of "universal" USB-C). At least the charger is on the side, unlike similar opolar which is on the bottom and always annoyed me why they would choose that. The Koonie is clearly more powerful than the original opolar (dark blue in picture). The difference isn't as noticeable with the newer opolar of similar design, but I do think the claim that it's more powerful is accurate. It wouldn't surprise me if it's 10 to 20% more powerful but that's hard to say without a more scientific method other than the way it feels on my hand. Another benefit to me personally is the slimmer profile at the base, as it fits into my tool bag pocket easier. The taller size doesn't bother me because it allows for the bigger battery capacity. In my use case, the fact that it can be taken apart and used as a power brick is pointless. Who doesn't have chargers and power bricks all over the house in 2022? Ha. I'd rather save money without that "feature". Otherwise, although too expensive, these are great devices to me and I can justify the cost in saved air cans and the huge annoyance of canned air only lasting about 20 seconds before getting so cold it's useless. These days, as with most products, the prices have gone up and the price of compressed air seems to be around $8 a can unless you can find a multi pack but things like this tend to be out of stock often. I've considered buying a powered air duster for a few years but was always put off by the high prices. I've also noticed a lot of them have reviews saying they just aren't strong enough to be comparable with a traditional can of air. When I found this Koonie model, I decided if I'm going to pay the high price for a cordless duster I might as well buy the most powerful one I can find. Right off the bat I like the size of the unit. Without the vacuum portion attached it's about the same size as a can of air. At first I thought not having a variable trigger would be a con but since you don't have to use short spurts like you do with a can, it's not a problem to just press the button and leave it on, and then just press if again for the high mode or to turn it off. I was impressed with how much air it moves, I recommend just always using the high mode since you're paying more for this model because it's more powerful than others. I didn't want or need the vacuum portion since I have a Dyson that is pretty portable itself but I decided to try it and was impressed with just how good it works. You obviously don't have much of a collection for debris but the filter itself is very sturdy and washable. I now use it for very small jobs like vacuuming air filters for the air conditioner and air purifiers, along with any small messes. The other huge benefit with this unit is the large built in battery. I've been using it quite a while and still haven't needed to recharge the unit yet, and when it do it's no big deal as I'd rather charge it than have to buy a new can. Charging does take quite some time but it's understandable due to the large battery. You can use the unit as a battery bank but I don't because I'd rather save all of the battery for runtime on the unit itself. The included attachments are very useful as well. I'd say this duster is more powerful than a can of compressed air but compressed air is still better in some situations due to the much smaller and more precise tip used on the cans. If you use attachment with the brush on the end you get a near perfect result as the brush loosens the dust and the air blows it away. The only thing this Koonie needs is a precision tip to add onto the end of the tube and it would be perfect and better than compressed air in every way. I'm sure a determined person or someone with a 3D printer could make such a tip if Koonie themselves pass on the opportunity. I like the power of this unit, great build quality, long run time, and the bonus of a decent hand sized vacuum and it'll end up paying for itself by the time you save yourself from needing to buy more cans of compressed air.
