Great speaker for the price and convenience. I'm an audiophile and the sound is definitely acceptable. Sound quality I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. It lacks bass, I would expect with two passive radiators and 4 separate speakers, there would be deeper Bass. But I only use it for my laptop at work and the ease of use with it clamping to the top of my laptop and the only power needed is via USB/C-Port. Make it a "good" product for the price. The volume (which it has plenty of for my use) and mute controls on the front are very convenient as well. Just needs more Bass. But all in all - the construction quality, appearance, price (definitely), functionality (clamp on feature), ease of use and the acceptable sound quality. Make it a steal for the money. Look, I just got these an hour ago and man this is great! Amazing speakers for an affordable price. The sound quality is great, not muffled like many other speakers. I snapped it to my main monitor, which is a 27 inch curved monitor and I have no issues keeping it up. Sound quality is good. Not too big. I have had this for about a month now and when I first got it I loved it. I love that it clips on my computer monitor and frees up space and the sound quality is fine for what I do which is mostly listen to talk radio. They plugged into my new laptop and started working right away but,,,,, every time I don't use the speaker for a day or two they don't work when I come back and try again. If I go to the back of the PC and unplug the USB cord and plug it back in they work again but that's a definite pain. I've tried different ports with the same result. It may be a PC issue or a settings issue but everything else works fine without this issue so I have to think it's a speaker issue. Update 12/12/25. The shutting off issue was an issue with the new computer and I finally found the setting to fix it. I've raised my review to 4 stars on that. They work just fine for me but the audio quality isn't going to be great for those looking for high quality sound, they work good for me though. Read more
This speaker is small, compact, and I think is a very good value the way it is easy plug and play setup and the way it performs. It is plenty loud and adjustable. It is also small and easy to attach anywhere on your monitor or desk you may want it. I was very happy with this product, and I can usually find something wrong. Read more
After you get a new monitor upgrade and realize that it does not have built-in speakers like your old one had - this is a perfect solution. Clip the speaker unit to the bottom of the new monitor and plug it into USB and sound is back! The + and - volume controls and mute button with an LED on the front are convenient. I bought 2 of these XKX DIRECT computer speakers. One for my TV and one for my laptop. I had to return one, because it didn't fit on my TV. Then I re-read the description, and it actually said it was only for PC's and laptops. Oops! BUT....it is perfect for my Dell Inspiron 3525 15" laptop. Like other reviews, the speakers on my laptop are really inadequate. The speaker is somewhat heavy, so if you angle your screen back too far, it will fall off. It's pretty much plug and play, and my laptop recognized it right away. There is even an opening so it doesn't block my camera. (I have masking tape over my camera when I'm not using it). I only use the speaker when watching my shows and movies on Paramount Plus on my laptop. None of my TV's are hooked up to the internet. I love that there is a mute button, which I use all the time to mute out the commercials when watching my shows. I don't have a lot of free USB A ports on my laptop, so I also purchased a bluetooth mouse to free one up. This speaker also has a USB C connecter attached to the cord, but the description says it should only be used with a device that uses that as it's main source, so I don't use the speaker for that port on my laptop.
