This is a compact and powerful hair dryer with very good build quality. The handle feels comfortable in the hand, though I do wish it was foldable — that would make it even more convenient and portable. Overall, the construction and heating elements feel solid and reliable. It looks and feels premium, especially for the price. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality hair dryer at a reasonable cost. Read more

I really like this hair dryer! It works well and has 2 different speeds which is nice. It is nice and compact which is great for traveling or even just for storing it away at home! It has a lot of power and airflow for a small hairdryer, I didn’t expect that! I have had this for a while and it is still running just like new! Read more

The Conair hair dryer surprised me with its good power and how quickly it dries my hair. It has several temperature settings, and the cool shot works great for setting your style. It's a bit noisy and heavy, but for the price, it's totally worth it. Recommended for everyday use! Read more

This is the second mid-size Conair blow dryer I've had. The last one lasted so many years I can't even tell you how long, which is why I got this one when the last one finally gave out. The price is so affordable, and the drying power is great for me, I can dry my hair in under 3 minutes. I do have short, fine hair, so if you have long, thick hair, drying time might be longer for you. It doesn't fold, but it's compact enough you could easily fit it in a suitcase. It also doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of the more expensive dryers, like a diffuser or a cold burst button. Those weren't important to me, so I've been perfectly happy with just the on and off button, and high or low speed. Great little dryer I feel good about recommending! Read more

The 5-star rating is for a dryer at this price point (just under $10 at time of purchase). Certainly, you can pay more and get a better model. This is an inexpensive dryer, smaller and lighter than most, that works well for me (relatively short hair). This one says it was made in Cambodia. The surface has a nice feel, and the dryer is very easy to handle. Though small, I wouldn't call this a travel model, and the handle doesn't fold in to make it compact, but it's great for home use. The main thing to understand is that the single switch controls both air flow and temperature, so both will be high or both low. I prefer the low setting. On low, the fan is fairly quiet and the flow is adequate, but the air is barely warm, so it takes a little longer to do the job (though with no risk of frying my hair). That's fine for short hair, but others might prefer the high setting. Read more

As this is the only hair dryer I have bought, I wouldn't know it is wonderful, except for using someone else's, which was horrible. I use it for novel purposes, to try a long beard, and to warm up my feet before bed and to eat up the vr lens so they don't fog. Read more

Pros: Lightweight, powerful but fairly quiet. Price of $10 is good for a no-frills dryer, especially if it lasts a couple of years. No need to pay extra $$ for a ceramic or 'ionized' dryer, which I claim is a lot of malarkey. Cons: Cord is about 12" too short, you need to stand close to the electrical outlet to dry your hair. I often use my hair dryer to defrost my freezer, so the short cord will be a problem. Also, the OFF switch is between High and Low. It would be better if it was on the end of the slider. Neutral: No attachments, which I never used anyway. Cord does not retract, but these often fail. Not a deal-breaker, still would be good for travel. UPDATE: After no more than 2 months of use, the hairdryer started to smell like burnt hair. I could see that a small amount of hair had been sucked into the intake screen and had wrapped around the fan. Since there is no removable screen on the back of the dryer, I removed the 2 phillips screws on the handle and carefully (but forcefully) opened up the dryer to remove the hair. Now working OK again. Update: Hairdryer switch stopped working 2.5 yrs after daily use. Read more
