Good vibes only
I was skeptical but curious. Turns out this unit is lighter weight and easy to use. Clip on the exercise bands and install the (included) batteries in the remote and you're ready to go. I read over the instructions briefly and hopped on to try all the settings. I did some research on the vibration types and intensities and (at first) thought that maybe this machine was limited. After using it for a few days my muscles feel tingly and energized. I don't think there has to be a continuously intense body impact from the vibration (like at a sports training or injury rehab facility) to get results. This machine has 5 pre-programed settings that mix up the type of vibration and intensities to give a full workout of your choosing. You can also manually set the vibration types and intensities if you want to focus on a specific level. I had to try the max just to see what it felt like. I set it for dual vibration types (up and down and sideways) and maxed the intensity to 180. The vibration encourages your muscles to contract and relax at a rapid rate and the different motion types works on balance and stability. You control the intensity and duration with the remote control. I didn't feel motion sick in my head or stomach (a possible side effect I read about when researching vibration plates) but it was a pretty intense workout as I actually broke a sweat after 10 minutes. I'm not an athlete, just wanting to add something to the mix among the treadmill, rebounder and light weights. It's a reasonably priced item, built well and delivers exactly what is promised.
