A new way of cleaning my contacts - seems to work well
I used to do the method of working my contacts with my fingers to clean them, but I can't help thinking that this method might be pushing tiny bits of dust or dirt into the surface of the lenses. Now, I taken them off and put them in the lens case that comes with this little machine, with some contact lens solution added of course, and I press the power button 2x for a 5 minute clean cycle. Pretty much what it does is vibrate at a pretty high frequency for that long then it shuts off. I really think this method would loosen more junk and protein and other things from the lenses than I can do with rubbing them. As lenses are gas permeable, there are a zillion microscopic openings in the lens which are all getting vibrated by this little machine and likely getting cleaned out, certainly better than the finger method. I run the lenses for five minutes, then I used the supplied tweezers to lift each lens out, rinse it by dipping it in the cap of my other lens case (with solution in it) then I put it directly into the regular lens storage case. No touching with fingers, they just get vibra-cleaned and rinsed. This method seems to work well for me.
