I've had nearly a dozen Cortland water bottles over the last decade and love everything about them. The locking mechanism and carabiner clip are convenient for taking this water bottle on hikes. The shape of the handle is also the most comfortable I've found for hand-carrying. After quite a few drops, I've had several of these bottles develop leaks, but mine have all lasted at least 2 years. You'll need to make sure the rim of the bottle is dry before placing the lid or you may notice slight leaks around the lid. I avoid water bottles with a built-in straw because those are so hard to keep clean and they gross me out. Fortunately, the Cortland lid can be competely opened for thorough cleaning in the dishwasher. Read more

I've had this water bottle several years now and have used it on my bike rides several times a week. I often froze the water so I could have a cold drink on a hot ride. The last few months I noticed that the seal was leaking. Finally I decided to take Contigo up on their lifetime warranty. I really didn't think it would go anywhere because of the time and how long I had the bottle. But I went ahead and filled out the form on the company web site. Much to my surprise a few days later (Nov 29) I got an email checking my address and stating that a new water bottle is coming my way. Today (Dec 5) I got my new bottle. I am very impressed with both Contigo's product and their costumer service. I guess that is why I have two other examples of their products. One is a Stainless steel coffee mug I have had for about 5 years and never had a problem or leak. Read more

I have been getting this bottle for my mom for years. They are great. They don't leak when the lid is open or close. U can drop the bottle and it still will not leak. Read more

Best water bottle ever. I bought this to replace a Camelback Chute I had lost at a friend’s house. While that water bottle was pretty good, so far I’m enjoying this one way more. It’s nice and thin and can fit in any cup holder, unlike the Camelback, which was a little too thick for certain cup holders like my backpack. However, the best part is its Contigo autoseal design. This means you have to push a button to allow water to flow through to drink it, and it has a lock to prevent accidental button pushes (so when you’re commuting or its in a bag, it won’t accidentally open and let out water as long as its locked). It even has a flap to protect the drinking area. Basically, it’s not going to spill... ever. My only complaint is that the bottle sweats. I wish it was double walled to prevent condensation and whatnot, but its not a big deal overall. Highly recommended! Read more

I like this water bottle for it's quality construction, durability and size. The lid is good to keep your drink from leaking and has a clip so you can attach the water bottle to a bag or other item. My only issue with the water bottle is that you have to hold down a button to drink from the bottle. That process took some getting used to. Now, I'm used to it and it's fine, but you'll have to remember to hold down the button to drink from it when you're thirsty. This button keeps the water bottle leak proof. The flip lid on top of the nozzle is good for keeping the drinking spout clean. Read more

This is an amazing, fun, and easy product to use. I was super impressed by how easy it was to use and how reliable it was. I don't drink enough water and I hate using store bought water bottles and big loud stainless steel products. But with this Contigo water bottle I was able to enjoy carrying the bottle anywhere I go with all it's great features. Read more

This is the BEST water bottle I have ever owned and I have owned a lot! I hate water bottles with straws. I prefer tilting the bottle up and drinking out of it, not sipping through a straw. If you try to do that with a water bottle that was designed to be used with the straw it came with, and most come with those, it just doesn't work well. The Contigo Auto Seal is spill proof and was designed to be tilted up and not sipped through a straw. It doesn't even come with one! One tip that I read on another review was helpful. Press the button, then tilt the bottle up to drink and do not release the button until you bring the bottle back down. It keeps a little bit of water spurting out if you release the button too soon. This is the only water bottle I will ever buy from now on! Read more

I love these auto-seal water bottles & will be a Contigo customer for life because of their great customer service! This was the second auto-seal bottle I bought and it had an occasional issue with the lid leaking (obviously not ideal when you want a spill proof botte). I went to their website and filled out the simple lifetime-guarantee form, hoping they would at least send me a new lid. Without any extra follow-up or back and forth effort on my part (something I’m not used to when dealing with warranties) I quickly received a brand new replacement bottle in the mail. This was a few months ago and I haven’t had any issues with leaking. This is still my favorite water bottle & now my favorite (and only) brand of water bottles & mugs I will buy because of their great and easy customer service and lifetime guarantee! Read more
