Made to be worn with Converse All-Star shoes, these are cut and designed specifically with Chucks in mind. And they are ideal for that. But what about just … as socks? I have been wearing them. Let’s discuss. First off, the brand-new-socks feeling is definitely present the moment you pull them on. Second, we had some old weather when I went out early the last few mornings, and my toes were never cold. Third, I’ve now worn them with house shoes, oxford platforms, breathable athletic shoes, boots, and wrestling shoes, and they’ve been perfect for every one of those. These socks are pretty cool, and as a lifelong Converse fan I was excited to try them out! I wore one pair per day last week and here are my takeaways: -The cushion on the sole is great - it really helps with the lack of arch support found in most converse and is also comfortable to walk around in without shoes - the top of the socks are thin and breathable - with a strip of extra ventilated material right above the toes. I like this as my feet tend to run hot. -The socks wash well - even the white pairs came out bright and clean after washing But! Note that the fit is tight in the calf. I wear a women's size 9 and have average calves - I found that these were tight on the calf. Not to the point of discomfort, but it definitely stretches out the "Converse" on the side of the sock, leading me to just wear these bunched at the ankle. These socks look simple but were a good upgrade for me. My old socks were getting ratty and these were the perfect replacement. The black, gray, and white combo pack goes with everything. I like the logo on the cuff too. Very clean and sporty looking. The fabric feels soft and a bit thick, good for sneakers or boots. These felt thicker than my usual athletic socks. I like that they don’t sag around the ankles. I'm very active and think these are suitable for activewear. I have worn them to the gym and they stay in place and do a good job wicking moisture too. I was looking forward to getting these classic Converse Crew Socks. They seemed like a really good value for a 6-pack. Unfortunately they really don't work for me. I'm likely going to give them to my husband and see they fit him. I wear a USA size 7.5 women's shoe. These are "One-Size" and they are too big in the foot, and, the biggest problem for me is that they are too tight in the calf. My muscular calf is 15-1/2 inches around and these bind and are uncomfortable. If you don't have wide calves they may work. They are padded in the foot and are classic crew socks. Got these socks for my girls. I wasn't sure if they would fit since they are a one size fits all but they fit fine. They both wear Converse sneakers so I figured why not have the socks too.
