I ordered these athletic shorts for my son who works out a couple times a week. He was looking for something lightweight and breathable, and these shorts fit the bill. I personally think that the material is a bit too thin, but my son seems to like it because it doesn't retain moisture. My son is 5'11" and on the thin side. I ordered him a size medium which is the right size for him and because he is thin, he uses the drawstring to tighten the shorts at the waist. In addition to the breathable material, my son likes that the shorts have pockets, and zipper pockets to boot. That's a really nice bonus because he can secure his wallet and keys and not worry about them falling out. It is important to note the recommendation that the shorts are air dried. We've followed instructions on that and the shorts are holding up well and because it's a thin material, the shorts dry pretty quickly.
