First, the good - these shorts are great in theory. They're breathable, soft to the touch, and overall feel really nice. There's just the right size for me, as I'm about 6'1 and 210 lbs. I like the look of them, and they're also fairly functional for using in the gym or outside. The two side pockets are medium in size, but there's an extra zippable third pocket on the right side (great for keys or other small items). I wish more shorts would have side pockets like this. But now, the bad - I got the white color, and they're SEE-THROUGH. Ugh. I don't see how there's any way I could wear these outside the house, as it's just a bad look. I'm not saying that someone can necessarily see what color underwear you're wearing, but you can see there's a subtle change between the underwear and skin underneath. Also, the inner linings of the side pockets stick out, which makes this look bad. With that said, I could still wear these as sleep shorts, since they're really nice and soft. However, this kind of defeats the purpose of having the great side zipper. In the end, these would be great shorts, so long as you don't get the white color. Read more

These shorts are exactly as described! They fit true to size and seem to be pretty good quality. They're polyester, like most athletic shorts, and provide a good stretch. The stitching seems even and flexible enough. They held up perfect in the wash and didn't seem to shrink in the dryer. The wash instructions on the tag are a bit unclear and vague. Either way, they get the point across: just wash and dry normally. My favorite part about these shorts has to be the pockets. It has regular pockets as expected. Additionally, it also has one zipper pocket! I love zipper pockets, especially on loose athletic shorts. I usually wear these kinds of shorts when working in the kitchen, working on cars in the shops, or working in the fields on the farm. Regardless which job, they all require lots of kneeling and bending up and down. With so much flex and movement, certain items will easily slip out of the pockets. A zipper pocket will help prevent losing certain items. A great plus: they will also work as swim trunks in a pinch! Another quirk these shorts have to offer is the reflective logo design. The print is relatively small, but it is still a nice reflective design. The reflectivity is great and very noticeable. At night, this can add just a bit more visibility to dark clothing, great for crossing the street or riding a bike. Overall, these shorts are just what I was expecting. They're comfortable enough, have great features, and are of nice quality. Therefore, I would consider them a good value and fairly priced. If they hold up well, I would even consider ordering another pair. Only time will tell how long they'll last, but they've given me high expectations. These are athletic shorts, quick dry (and you will see why), with zipper pockets. At first glance they look like your average shorts, which to an extent they are. But when you try them on, Or even hold them up to the light you will see practically through them! With the darker colors I can imagine it is harder to see this thinness, and until I really looked at the material I didn't notice. Just hold the shorts to a light source and see. Obviously they are quick dry due to the lack of material. They do seem pretty thin and will assume you will have to be careful about rips and such. I must be used to the old athletic heavier short material because this one just didn't become a favorite. Even when I put on the material it started to creep up the leg--despite being loose around the leg area. Plus side, it does have zippered pockets. With a tiny built in pocket for your small stuff, but it is built with the same material--so thin but doubled up for the pocket. If you are looking for a super light weight short, I would suggest getting the darker colors to help with the thinness of the fabric. This is my honest review of an acquired vine product. Read more
