I got this shirt for my husband for our beach trip and he looked so good in it! The fit was true to size and really flattering. I originally ordered the champagne-colored version of this shirt in size medium and had to return it. The page lists the chest size on a medium as 44.9 inches. I had my chest measured as 41.25 inches, so I thought it would be good. I could get it on but it allowed for very little movement without feeling tight across the chest/back. That is my fault. I usually wear large shirts but thought these just ran big. Just something to be aware of when ordering. Give yourself some room. I ordered the same shirt in large after starting the return of the medium. When it arrived, it was clear that it was a previously returned shirt. The bag was not sealed and it was lacking the cardboard backing that was in the collar and along the back of the shirt from my first order to help hold the shape. It did still have the tags and spare button on it and I found no obvious issues with it so I kept it. The color seems a little lighter than the online picture would indicate, but Iike it. Also, the description says ‘linen texture’, but it has no actual linen fabric in it. If a true linen shirt is what you are after this is not for you and you will need to expect a higher cost. I washed it and then ironed it to get out the creases from the original packing. It looks good and appears a bit more ‘dressed up’ than a t-shirt or maybe even a polo while still being light and comfortable. I wore it out the next day. It was a warm and humid day out, but the shirt held up well and was cool and comfortable enough. I wore it without anything underneath and buttoned up versus unbuttoned with a t-shirt underneath. After washing it again I did notice a couple minor stitching/thread issues as seen in the pictures. Hopefully they don’t unravel or fray any more but we will see over time. One is around a button and the other is on the collar. *Educational Note* The materials are listed as polyester, viscose and spandex. I had to look up what viscose was. It is the same as Rayon, which is likely a trademarked name and they use a generic version. Viscose and rayon refer to the same fabric. This is also known as artificial silk. The name is derived from the word “viscous”, where cellulose fibers are changed into this material using a viscous liquid. The result is a fabric that is mostly a blend of natural and synthetic fibers. It’s breathable. This is a common issue with man-made or synthetic fabrics, but since viscose is not 100% synthetic, it’s quite breathable. It is a good choice for hot and humid summer days because it absorbs moisture and feels cool. Read more
