Fabric is heavy enough that an undershirt is not needed, but the linen effect of the weave makes it feel "a little scratchy", according to my son. The tag says 100% cotton. He understands that it must be cold washed and then hung to dry in order to avoid shrinkage. Collar points, shoulders, pocket are neatly sewn. Good quality, good fit. I recommend dry cleaning or washing in cold water and hanging to dry to prevent shrinkage. I have several Coofandy shirts, and this is the only one I don’t particularly care for.
