I love the look of this shirt and the quality. I recently bought the large and xl because sizing is always a trial and error on Amazon. I can fit large but normally wear xl, I wanted a forming fit but the large was incredibly tight on the arms so I had to return. So far I am happy with the xl, it fits perfect and just tight enough on the arms that I was looking for. I would have liked the body to be a little more fitting, I recommend ordering your normal size shirt, if you are someone that works out and looking something to fit and show the arms, buy both sizes to ensure good fit. I was initially quite excited about this shirt. The combination of the denim body with the plaid collar and cuffs looked sharp and unique in the product photos, and it does deliver on that front – the shirt has a distinct, casual-yet-put-together aesthetic that stands out. The overall construction seems decent, and the stitching appeared to be well-done out of the package. However, after receiving and trying it on, two major issues quickly became apparent, pushing my rating down to three stars: Firstly, the fabric is surprisingly thick and heavy for a short-sleeve shirt. It feels more like a "work shirt" in terms of material density than a light, casual summer top. While this might lend itself to durability, it means that on anything but a cool day, you are definitely going to sweat. This shirt is absolutely not suitable for hot weather, which severely limits its usability as a "short sleeve button-down." It feels much better suited for spring, fall, or cooler evenings. Secondly, the sizing isn't quite true to size. I ordered my usual men's XL, and found it to be a bit snug across the shoulders and chest, while the length felt slightly off for my frame. It's not drastically small, but it's certainly not a comfortable, relaxed fit that you'd expect from a casual shirt. I'd strongly recommend checking the size chart carefully and potentially considering ordering one size up if you prefer a more comfortable or relaxed fit, especially if you're between sizes. In summary, if you're looking for a uniquely styled, heavier casual shirt for cooler temperatures and are prepared to potentially size up, this might work for you.
