I am writing this review on my initial thoughts after opening the package and trying it on, so I haven't tested it in the rain. I ordered a Large black and it came in an exposed plastic bag that has been vacuumed down. Looks 5 - a five, it looks more expensive than it is. Quality 4.5 - quality looks good, feels good with maybe the exception being the zippers and zipper pulls look a little small but no reason to really dislike them and they work fine Fit 5 - I wanted this for summer only so I wanted it a little less roomy and ordered a LARGE. I am 6'1" with average arm length and torso length, 195lbs with athletic build and it fits nearly perfect, hood is good size and it has cinch locks on hood and bottom hem. It has just the right amount of room, with maybe just a tiny bit more sleeve length would have been optimal. Design - 4.5 if I am being nitpicky I would like the sleeves a 3/4" longer and pocket two inches deeper. However i could put my iPhone in my pocket and zip it up to make it secure. If you are standing I would put my phone in my pocket just fine and no issue, but if you are sitting or moving around a lot, I would be afraid the phone may fall out. The jacket is a little heavier than I expected but that can be either good or bad. The storage bag works fine. Some said it was too small, but i was able to zip my jacket and roll it up and place it in the bag very easily. However that bag does not cinch up that well and the strings were cheap and barely sustainable. Price - 4.5 Origin - 0, its made in China and looked for an American made jacket with the same criteria but couldn't find one. I purchased this for a cruise that we were taking around New Zealand and Australia. My main criteria was that I wanted a rain coat that would pack easily and be something that I could carry easily. This jacket filled the bill. it is very well constructed and functional for handling small rain storms. The color was fine for what I needed and it served my purpose of being easy to carry. When I used the jacket, it was breathable and didn't condensate on the interior. I'd highly recommend this for its quality and functionality. Read more
