For the money, this room humidifier is quiet, shuts off automatically when water is low and you can aim the mist where you like. In order to refill it, you have to run it dry because you take the top off and turn it upside down to refill. There's no way to top up the water that's already in it. This humidifier puts out a great stream of cold water and barely makes a whisper of a noise. I have it set up next to my bed so that the mist drifts across my face and this has kept nose clear and breathing easy. When I have set it on maximum output the tank has lasted about 18 hours before needing to be refilled. The tank unusual to fill and I would not recommend it for someone who has arthritic or weak hands (like my 95 year old grandmother). This works great for me. Read more
