Overall this seems to be a good fan. It fits the top of the Xbox nicely and the lights are a nice touch. I haven't tried the headphone hanger yet as I have another one and this one is not convenient where I have my Xbox placed. There are two small problems though: 1) the LEDs on the fan never turn off. If it's plugged in, those are on and cycling though all their colors. The ones around the side can be controlled or turned off with the front switches, but the ones inside with the fan stay on all the time. If the USB is plugged in, they're on. Not sure if this is by design or if mine is somehow faulty and 2) the auto function is jumpy sometimes. The fan will wind up, then slow down, then up, then down, it can't seem to decide on which speed it should be at so it keeps constantly adjusting itself. Neither of these is a huge deal or really affects the overall performance, but they're annoying. Read more

Fun RGB! Nice option for headset. It works on consoles that side-sit. I like the RGB inside the fan. CONS: None (well, one big one, but I think it was a defect not by design – see below). WHAT’S IN THE BOX: The fan, headset bracket, instruction manual. REVIEW: I really like this design for the way I have my Xbox Series X (XSX) set up. My XSX is sitting on its side. Which, isn’t ideal by any stretch, but it is practical for the rest of my desktop. I own every generation of Xbox there is. And one of the main issues I’ve had with them has been overheating. In-game overheating is just frustrating and it’s not good for the Xbox either. If you have a team, it’s worse. Most of this overheating is my fault. I set up my XSX in such a way that isn’t ideal for airflow. But, to compensate, I thought I would get a fan! This fan is excellent. It’s much better to pull air through an XSX than to try and push it from the bottom of the console. And this fan has great pulling power. It uses a large fan and yet doesn’t produce as much noise as you would think for its size. Most of us use a headset anyway, so it’s a bit of a moot point. The bummer about this unit is that the center RGB and side RGB are not synchronized with the same light pattern. In fact, the center RGB is set to “Dynamic” and doesn’t change with the other lights. On top of that, when the other lights are off, there isn’t a way for me to turn off the center lights. Even when the XSX is off, the fan lights are still on. Not by design, I’m sure. But, poor quality controls. I’m still going to use it and just unplug the fan when the XSX is off. If you use it with your XSX on its side, I used some black electrical tape to close a tiny gap. You don’t need it probably, but I wanted to be sure no air would enter from the side like that. It just increases the efficiency of the fan. What you don’t see behind my XSX is another little computer fan pushing air. I only turn that one if the ambient temperature is high. AMAZON PHOTO/DESCRIPTION ACCURACY: The photos and description are accurate. VALUE/VERDICT: Assuming that the center light is just a defect, I would have to say this is a great XSX cooling fan. I would recommend it to anyone who has an XSX. Even if you don’t care for RGB, it’s still a useful accessory. I love that the cooing fan has an auto mode and will adjust it's speed per the temperature. It is very easy to install. I have two items that I deducted points for as it were. 1. The beautiful lights do not have an off. You can changethe side colors easily enough, they just need to add an off setting ( for sleep) for the fan lights. 2. The hook that attaches (where you hang your headset) pulls the fan off the opposite side slightly. If I were not careful with it, it feels like it could cause the fan base to tip off the top. When I use a finger to reposition it, it does not actually come off. Someone with OCD will go bonkers over the slight movement caused by uneven weight distribution. Other than that and the inability to turn the lights off on the fan (without unplugging the USB) are my only complaints. A solid 4.5 stars in my opinion. Read more
