Definitely worth the money. Though the depth is 3 inches that is for the side panel. The depth of the stuffed areas actual more like 5, maybe 6 inches. Very comfortable, no rips and held up to the first washing without the stuffing shifting or clumping. I'd give it 5 stars except it had an ever so slight pale strip of yellow on the back panel. However, as it's on the flip side and the price is so inexpensive for the quality I suspect it was simply a matter of using cheaper material for the backing. It should be noted this is a heavy bed topper due to the plushness of the stuffing. This means you need access to a heavy duty washer and must add some extra time to air dry. I had one topper from D&G from a couple or three years back but it’s heavy and has lost some of its ‘feel good’ so I decided to get a different one and use it on top of the old one (thanks for those hints in some of the reviews). I rotated the old one again, and after letting this one fluff I put it on top. It was easy to get on and the deep pockets easily fit over both my TempurPedic and the older D&G two inch toppers. I feel like the princess and the pea using three toppers but I have major issues with chronic pain, so whatever it takes I’m willing to do to make my bed a place of comfort and refuge, as it well should be. My bed feels good again. It has the features that I like, and having appreciated my older D&G topper I went with this company for a second time. The materials are very nice and durable. It was delivered quickly too. My cat is getting older, and when she saw the extra height there was a look on her face like: “What, I’m scaling K2 to get up here now?!” She uses the blanket I keep on top for her (cat hair catcher) and climbs instead of jumping, but she’s spoiled to the new softness and extra ‘oomph’ so she knows it’s worth it. She even gave it a walk-over. I love the feel, we both do - that ‘new bed’ feel. When it’s time to wash this one it’ll be much lighter in the washer and dryer. Thank you D&G and Amazon. This topper was fine for a few days but began to flatten and bulge in various places and as the nights rolled on, the pain in my back worsened. I stripped the bed and put the topper in the dryer to fluff it up. It did. I tried it again and after a couple/three nights, as you can see in the photos, it flattened and began bulging again and the back pain got worse. By looking at the photos, who can sleep on something like this? My sheet was covering it in the photos, but you can see by the form, that the material is not staying in place. I'm 70 and I sleep alone and my tossing and turning from back pain was too difficult for this topper but it was supposed to have relieved that. In the second photo, the bulge on the left is the edge of the topper. I sent it back for a refund today. Now...for my son's topper: He said he is doing well with his and he likes it. If it works for you, be careful to keep spills from it because mine was only a size "full" and it was difficult to fit in the dryer to fluff it. It would be impossible to wash in a household washing machine. The topper looks beautiful in the photos and the comments were so good I bought it, but for me and my back, it did not work for me.
