I found this brace to be more pain-inducing than pain relieving, but that's likely because this was too big for me. The smallest size available is medium, which I got. My waist is an inch or two smaller than the listed specs for medium, but I'd hoped there'd be some give, since the listing says that "slight variations (1-2 inches) may occur... but our adjustable straps ensure a secure fit..” and also suggests sizing up if in between sizes. The main issue is the height of the brace, which is too tall for my torso and reaches well up into my rib cage. The plastic foam 'massage pads' and support bars dig into my ribs and spine, triggering some nerve pain (I have mild sciatica that comes and goes). This is aggravated by my skinny build and small bones - I simply don’t have enough fat or muscle to help cushion my bones against the brace, which is fairly firm. This brace would work better for someone with a stockier build, with perhaps more muscle and larger bones; and a tall enough torso for the brace to not dig into the rib cage. The overall design is thoughtful, with multiple ways to adjust the velcro to fit your needs. The velcro is fairly grippy, which keeps the brace in place but also means it can easily snag and damage your clothing (to prevent the latter, you can stick the velcro onto another part of the strap or brace before putting it on or taking it off). The material looks sturdy and is stitched together well; there are no loose seams or threads on mine. I do wish this brace had fit me better as the overall design is great and the removable straps are a feature that I haven't seen on other braces, and that I could see helping to keep the brace in place in addition to providing additional support. This is a great back brace. It has exspanders to fit big guys and foam padding in the back with stiff curved supports. While i have been wearing the brace i think it breaths great and has multiple velcro adjusters. Read more

I ordered a large but I think I may have needed an XL. (I'm a 38 belt waist and not much gut past that) It just felt a little small on me. The bands wrapped around me enough, but were at the limit of their reach. The over-the-shoulder straps were nice in some instances to keep it from slipping down, but did get in the way at other times. It feels constructed well and made of good quality. I expected it be tighter on my back and keep it from flexing. After wearing it for a while and then taking it off, I did feel a change in my back, so I think it was giving me some type of support. I'll keep wearing it for a while and see how it goes. Wearing something is better than throwing my back out again. Read more

I’ve been dealing with back pain for years and have tried many different back braces. I wear one daily for about nine hours at work, so I was excited to give this one a try. While it does offer some support and fits fairly well, I found that it just doesn’t provide the level of lower back support I need compared to some of my other braces. The build quality seems okay, and the straps do a nice job of keeping it in place if needed. Overall, it’s an average brace that might work fine for lighter support, but not quite enough for my needs. Read more

The Cooljob Back Brace for Lumbar Support seems like very good quality. I like the way the back part is stiff, which gives added support. Great that the wide straps are easily adjusted too. I ordered a medium since size small wasn’t offered when I ordered it. It fits well, which I was surprised of since I usually wear a female size small shirt. Not sure if it runs small or not but I am sure being able to adjust the waist with the wide velcro certainly helps it fit a lot of different sizes too. One of the features that I liked best about it is that it is easy to put on. If the velcro is initially left open, you can easily put it on almost like you would put a shirt with buttons on. I am happy I don't need to put it over my head. Very good value for the money at the time of writing this review. Very satisfied. Read more
