What, pray tell, is "polycotton?" I looked it up and still don't know. It is a "blend of polyester and cotton," but it can be any percentage of either. How is it blended? I do not know. So, unfortunately, if you either love or hate either cotton or polyester, you won't know what you have here. But, if the tag on the hat is more accurate, it's actually 100% polyester. Maybe trust that? But, I can tell you it is a well made hat and fits nicely on my perfectly average sized head. Since it is a perfectly one-size fits all hat, you'll have to figure out what that means. It has a fair amount of stretch, and it isn't tight on me, so I think heads a little smaller than average and a little bigger than average will work in this hat. Take a good look at the pictures in the advertisement. They are pretty detailed, and this hat really is that well made and good looking. Whatever polycotton is, it makes a quality looking hat. I haven't had the opportunity to wash it yet, but I get the impression this will hold up well with no shrinking. If it really is just polyester, it will probably wear from wash/dry cycles about like every other polyester item you have. You can definitely find cheaper hats that are "rags" and more expensive hats that are obviously spendy. If you like the look of this one, I think $40 worth of polyester says it will hold its shape and color and will last well enough to make it a fair deal. Read more

Some people are "hat-wearers", some are not. Some age into the experience! I have ALWAYS appreciated a great hat. Even a decent hat. Protection from the sun, protection from the cold, accenting a great outfit, hiding a bad hair day: whats not to love? This cap arrived, folded flat, in the thin plastic baggy. Slipping it out, there were no untoward creases, and the item popped open into standard cap-shape. Inspection revealed it is made of polyester, loosely woven for good air-flow. I love the 2" detailing around the edges above the band, as well as the "sprinkle" of raised threads that give the cap a sense of motion and artistry. A broad, elastic ribbon band is well stitched to the inner edge. ALL parts are perfectly color matched, from the ribbon, the band, the threads, etc. The cap is monogrammed with thin, scripted letter A in white thread on the back. It looks like Edwardian font. It is NOT lined internally. (ie: Good for air-flow and coolness, but the fabric will be in constant contact with the natural oils from hair) . There were loose threads under the band that had not been properly clipped, but nothing unravelled. B CLEANING: ecause the fabric IS polyester, I suspect the item might be able to be cleaned by soaking and rinsing in a small pot with the same gentle soaps I would use for my fine silks, etc. This particular cap is a vibrant red color, which easily matches a goodly number of items in my wardrobe. The brim is solid and glued down to keep the cap-shape intact. That does not allow for alternate styling, but it does guarantee the same look each time. Because the ribbon on the band is made of a good elastic fabric, it fit me perfectly, so its likely to fit most folks. The manufacturer shows both genders wearing it, I've worn this four or five times now, it is very comfortable and very stylish! I have received several compliments as well. The manufacturer suggests it can be worn 'backwards' in a 'bucket style'. I did try that but its not a suitable style for my face- your mileage may vary, lol. STORAGE: In addition to the nice look, I really do apprecaite how EASY this is to store. Because it is so lightweight, it easily hangs on a light hook on the wall or the back of a door. Equally well, it flatens to fit in a drawer, or pack in an overnight bag. WEARABILITY: As noted, above, this loose weave BOTH protects from the harsh sun AND allows the air to circulate and the scalp to breathe and release excess heat. The cap did stay firmly on my head despite an afternoon of heavier winds! (not all hats can say THAT) It is likely I will purchase a few more of this cap in different colors to wear all Spring/Summer and the warmer Fall months. Read more
The Coolmesh Newsboy Cap / Reversible Bucket Hat in burgundy is a fashion-forward chameleon. It struts the line between classic newsboy charm and casual streetwear edge, all while keeping your scalp as breezy as a spring morning thanks to its breathable mesh design. The reversible feature? A slick bonus—like having two hats in one. One side screams hip-hop swagger, the other whispers laid-back café poet. Whether you're dodging sunrays or just flexing on the sidewalk, it adds flair without the flare-up. Dropped a star only because the fit can be a little snug for larger heads. But if it fits, it *slays*. Cool, clever, and ready to turn heads. Read more
The cap looks trendy and fits well. Love the reversible feature for different looks. Material feels a bit stiff. Read more

My significant other has been wearing this newsboy cap non-stop for weeks, and we both love it. It looks super cute and stylish. It definitely gives off that classic, dapper vibe. And he says it’s really comfortable, too. It’s held up surprisingly well through all kinds of weather. rain, heat, even sweaty days…and it still looks great. The material feels nice and soft, not itchy at all, and it’s managed to keep its shape really well. I’m not sure how it’ll hold up in the wash (we haven’t needed to clean it yet), but since it’s pretty lightweight, he’s been fine wearing it even during the summer. It’s a great alternative to a baseball cap when you want something a little more put together. Definitely a win! Read more
