Recommend for Fibromyalgia pain

Definitely recommend. I have Fibromyalgia and purchased these hoping they would help with throbbing/burning pain. Anything that helps even a little, even some of the time gets a "recommend" from me. Fit: I originally purchased a small but sized up to a medium. They hit a few inches above my elbow. (F 5'6" 140lbs) Comfort: Considering I'm in pain when I wear them I would say the comfort was good and improved with use. It seems like you need to break them in some. Originally the seams are awkward around the thumb which limited the length of time I could wear them at first. And the printed lettering was uncomfortable but as it wore off they were fine. After washing and wear it was much better. Compression: The compression is perfect. Not too tight but not loose. Pain relief: They do reduce pain some for a mild to moderate flare (which is a win for fibro). For a severe flare sometimes I can't wear them due to sensitivity to fabric of any kind. When I can wear it took about 30 minutes to get used to the fabric but helped with the pain enough to make it worth wearing. I haven't found that they prevent or eliminate fibro pain but they definitely help reduce pain. Read more

medical "opera length" gloves

Very effective, but could be a little tighter, it is not a matter of size, but compression. Read more

Tight Fit

Ordered a pair of mediums per the sizing chart, despite my concern that they are labeled make/female and I'm a bigger guy and I don't wear "medium" anythings. They were indeed too small but the makers sent me a free pair of large and these do fit....sort of. There is no quick way to wear or remove these things. Extremely form-fittingly tight and they have to be carefully stretched and inched on a bit at a time. Once on, the fit and compression seems right, but it takes a looong time to get there. Removing is just as awkward - you basically have to peel them off an inch at a time. I fear the struggling will eventually destroy these gloves unless they "break in" and get easier to wear without being ruined. In hindsight, it would properly be better for me to order a pair of arm sleeves (had them in the past and they are easy to wear) and a pair of the shorter gauntlets. Could easily put all four of those things on easier than just one pair of these long glove sleeves. Oh well, maybe next time. Read more

These hurt! I regret not listening to other negative reviews.

I read the other reviews of people with biceps, stronger/thicker arms than me and thought to myself "I have really thin arms, they will work for me." No, no they will not. The fabric is super duper thin. The seams HURT, every finger has seams, all around the thumb has seams and the worst seam and up on the arm. It hurts. Then if you wear them without adjusting them every 5 seconds the seam rolls and is even more painful. The size fit my hand fantastically. The material is not forgiving, which is okay since I bought the right size. I couldn't get over the seams feeling a needles in my hands and arms. We are talking the seam all the way up the arm. At first I thought "I wear clothes with seams everyday, I'm being a huge baby." So I wore them again. After trying for a 3rd time, I just couldn't do it. Wrapping my arms relieves anxiety, which is why I bought them. However these things were the worst. Don't get them. Read more

They're ok, but I'm not impressed

These fit well and are comfortable, however for the price I expected the fabric to be a little thicker. I'd expect these to cost about $10 less than what I paid for them, but still not bad. I'm going to keep them but I'll keep looking for another pair that provides more compression affordably. Unfortunately as anyone else who is in chronic pain & disabled but is lower middle class knows trying to find reasonable, affordable relief adds up & leads to becoming broke because you're not poor enough to qualify for any sort of assistance, well at least not until you're completely bankrupt, have lost your entire life & livelihood, &/or are dead. That's not the fault of these gloves, lol, but I'm a bit salty; begging for help in every way possible for at least half of my life, losing my livelihood, my family losing my full ability to take care of them, & being so exhausted from the chronic pain & fatigue take a toll on one's demeanor. These gloves would be best for those who only need mild support, whose pain levels are low & don't really affect their ability to function or rest. I have Chronic Lyme & terrible neuropathy that is never going away- the neuropathy in my hands started to be so bad that it affected my functioning by the time I was 19 when I started going to various specialists begging for help and answers, & I'm 38 now and unable to write legibly or do most of the arts & crafts I used to love so much & make $ doing, I can't even braid my kids' hair anymore which is the worst. I have the diagnoses now finally but it's too late, the damage can't be undone despite all of the rounds of treatment because I wasn't taken seriously by so many. I pushed out a 10 lb baby without drugs, but when it came to my chronic, debilitating pain I was just treated like a drug seeker for years and dismissed repeatedly at almost every turn, being told "you're too young to feel that way," which was exactly my point. Then wonder why there's an addiction epidemic & such high rates of mental health struggles & suicide among those chronically ill... I was hoping these gloves would keep my arms/hands from painfully throbbing & tingling, waking me up at least every hour (try both not being able to keep your eyes open, but not ever being able to get more than 30-60 minutes of sleep at a time, ever, for years, while taking care of a high needs family) but they have not. They do, however, not cause me any additional pain which I was afraid of because I can't even wear loose socks to bed without waking up from them making the tips of my toes pulsate even more painfully, so there's that. They look good too, more fashionable than most compression products or braces. I'm sure these gloves would be beneficial to many, but if you're in the same boat as me, well, good luck. Read more
