As someone who burns just thinking about the sun, I have tried a ton of sunscreens. I love the outdoors but always dread the burns, both dealing with them and knowing I'm more at risk for skin cancer the more I burn. It never mattered how often I reapplied, I always burned. After doing some research, I decided to try a mineral sunscreen. Trying to find one that's affordable and doesn't leave a thick, white cast can be hard, but I've found this and its lotion version to be really effective. You still can get a white cast, but it goes away once it's rubbed in properly. Now I can be outside and not have to worry as long as I follow the instructions and reapply when needed! Read more

First, this product arrived without a sealed wrapper around the cap like most sunscreen sprays have on them. This product is difficult to apply and spread onto the face and other parts of the body due to its texture. It does feel somewhat sticky, but it does not feel as powdery as other mineral sunscreen sprays. I would strongly suggest to anyone that uses this product to GENTLY rub and spread this product onto their skin after applying it as it is difficult to spread. Although contradicting the instructions, I directly sprayed the product to my forehead and cheeks, and then rubbed it gently on my face. Be aware that long-term aggressive rubbing of the face with any product may lead to loss of elasticity and sagging of the skin. This does leave a mild white cast and washing it off is fairly easy, although it still leaves traces on your skin if you do not rub if off aggressively. On a positive note, the price of this product is difficult to beat with its high concentration of zinc oxide. UPDATED REVIEW 08/12/2021: I upgraded my rating from three stars to four stars. This sunscreen is harder to rub on the skin than other mineral spray sunscreens I have used; therefore, I use my index and middle finger to rub it gently on my neck, face and forehead to avoid aggressive rubbing of the skin, using gentle strokes and taps. Because of its tight texture, it is not runny; therefore, it is sweat resistant - a positive if you are outside on a hot day and sweating. The same applies if you are showering as this product will not run into your eyes as you are washing your face with this sunscreen still on. It is also fairly easy to apply to facial hair. This sunscreen may have an unpleasant odor for some people. It does not leave a heavy white cast in comparison to other spray mineral sunscreens. I use a men's face wash in the shower to wash this sunscreen off, which comes off pretty easily. Read more

I bought this product to replace the product I was using that was recalled. I guess I erroneously assumed because it was "Pure & Simple" it would be clear and clean. The first time I used it I was surprised to find it was white and chalky and VERY hard to rub in. It made my skin feel sticky and smooth seemed to slide off my skin when I entered my pool. Life got away from me and I missed the deadline to return it. ( by 3 days🤦🏾‍♀️) I'll continue to purchase this kind of product locally where ai can spritz a bit to see the conaiatancy... I like that this sunscreen contains mostly good stuff and is free of most bad stuff. It is water resistant and has a high SPF. It seemed to work on the other day at the pool. But I was left looking white and greasy. I also didn't like that I had to get my hands all covered. I bought the spray sunscreen to avoid putting it on my hands. Nobody in my family left the pool with a sunburn so I guess it did it's job. But we also had to shower immediately after we got home because it wouldn't come off. The smell isn't that great either. So overall, it works. But it leaves you white and greasy, its hard to get it off once your done, and the smell isn't the best. Read more

This is a great product for sensitive skin. It blends out pretty well but does spray on white. This is the only sunscreen I have found that doesn’t make my skin break out into hives from the chemicals when being out in the hot sun! Read more
