This was highly rated by Consumer Reports, so we bought it to take on a recent snorkeling trip. We used this on ourselves (adults), not babies, and it worked great! I liked that it was really easy to put on- a very creamy, emollient lotion-like cream, almost runny but not quite if that makes sense. Some other sunscreens I’ve used were too thick or waxy, and this was not. It was basically invisible on my fair skin, and was minimally scented which I barely noticed. The proof that it worked was that the one spot I missed (a strip on the back of my legs close to the bottom edges of my swim shorts) got burnt to a bright pink, while the rest of my legs didn’t get burnt or tanned whatsoever, as if they hadn’t been exposed at all. This was pretty amazing, especially considering that we snorkeled in 3 different areas on the same day, and I didn’t re-apply. We were literally in the water for hours! So, the product is as advertised, and it protected us well. I used something different on my face and neck, but my spouse used this as well, and didn’t get burnt. So 5 stars all the way! Read more

This is my favorite for children and adults! This formula doesn’t really burn eyes as badly as other brands. In the pool kids splash and get water in their eyes and a non burning lotion is important. Read more

We love this baby sunscreen! It goes on so smoothly and doesn’t leave that thick, greasy residue like a lot of others do. Application is quick and easy, even on a wiggly baby! Even though chemical sunscreens have been shown to protect more reliably than mineral ones, one of their drawbacks is that some people (like me) are rather sensitive to them anywhere near the eyes. Just being on my nose, the sunscreen makes my eyes burn and water. To deal with this, I use mineral sunscreens for my face, and chemical ones for the rest of my body. I had hoped that perhaps this "baby formulation" could be used on my face... but for me that did not work out, though it might for others. It still uses the chemicals that irritate my eyes when nearby. On the good side, it turns out to be a wonderfully effective sunscreen for everywhere else, leaving my skin feeling good and smelling like light baby powder. I am really happy with it and will continue to use it... an excellent chemical formulation at a moderate consumer price, not a super-luxury one! Read more

I am a cancer survivor and I am very insistent on wearing sunscreen everywhere, even inside of my house. I put sunscreen on every morning and I actively seek out information on which sunscreens are the most effective. There was a consumer report that named this as one of the few sunscreens that the efficacy matched the claimed SPF. I was in the market for a new body sunscreen so I bought it, and I'm very happy that I did. First the scent takes me immediately back to childhood. It reminds me of my grandma chasing me around the backyard trying to put more sunscreen on my back when we were playing in the sprinkler. And second I just really enjoy the formula. It rubs in very easily, and it works. I haven't gotten a sunburn once since I started using it, I've even used it on my face before in a pinch, although it did burn my eyes a little so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that. Last weekend I took my three-month-old baby to the beach for the first time, and I was afraid because her skin is very white and delicate. For that reason I was looking for recommendations for sunscreens and despite receiving several, I chose this one. I think I couldn't make a better choice. It said it was for 80 minutes and that it had to be reactivated. I really didn't do it as I should and it still exceeded my expectations... my oldest girl and I got burned and we were using an adult sunscreen, however my baby kept its color... the sunscreen is consistent, not very sticky, it smells delicate and delicious and has all the characteristics and requirements that moms look for in the products for our baby...
