The egg mixer is very cute for the size. It does work. The only thing that I thought that would’ve helped it doesn’t have the box for the USB port to fit in for an outlet. If you’re going to use this item as a gift, then the box that the USB wire goes into the outlet would be nice to . I had to purchase an outlet box to get us as a gift. Read more

Okay, so the wife wanted to get our little princess into the kitchen, and I figured a fun-looking gadget might help. Enter the Yellow Bear Cordless Hand Mixer. First impression? It's definitely cute, in a way that made my daughter squeal with delight, which I will admit, I enjoyed. I'm 50 and like what I like. And I appreciate cute. The yellow bear design isn't something I'd normally go for, but it works. It's light, and that surprised me, for both good and bad. The cordless aspect is pretty cool. No more wrestling with cords wrapped around everything in the drawer, or being limited by outlet location. That's a big win in my book. The three-speed settings are sufficient. We've used it for whipped cream, cake batter, and even some mashed potatoes (don't judge, it worked!). It handled all those tasks without feeling strained. But, and here's the "but", it's not exactly a powerhouse. I doubt it would handle anything super thick or heavy-duty. Bread dough is probably out of the question. The lightweight feel, while comfortable for my daughter, also makes me wonder how long it'll last. It feels a little...plasticky. The two whisks that come with it are easy enough to pop in and out, and cleaning is simple. We just rinse them under the faucet, and that seems to be good. Overall, the Yellow Bear has been a fun addition to our kitchen. It's gotten my daughter interested in helping out, and it's capable enough for the light baking we do. It's not a professional-grade mixer, and I would be careful of using it too rigorously, but for getting kids involved, and for basic mixing tasks, it gets a thumbs-up from this dad. Read more
