Pros: Color is spot on. They are lightweight & comfortable. Sizing seems accurate to slightly generous in the waist. They have some stretch/give. Not sure if this is truly a pro, as they are too big in other areas so do the material up top stretches too much, they’re going to look like brown corduroy curtains. Cons: They are WAY baggier at the bottom than pictured. Think flared bell bottoms. Not just a loose, fit— excessively baggy and too long in a very unflattering way. I was super excited for these given the corduroy texture, fall color, & lightweight feel. But the baggies & length have rendered them to the “around the house” drawer. Read more
These Oakgarden Women’s Corduroy Pants are serviceable, comfortable polyester corduroy pants. The waist is elastic with a drawstring. They have two deep pockets in front. Wardrobe staple, goes with everything! The corduroy material is a little thin. The corduroy ribbing does not stand out as much as I expect from corduroy. (Maybe because it’s polyester rather than cotton?). As one reviewer has pointed out, the lines between the corduroy ribs are sheer. You can see through them if you hold the fabric up to the light. But you can’t see through the fabric if you are wearing it. These pants are probably sturdy enough to last for a couple of seasons, but no longer. There is no stretch to the fabric, so you will want to make sure you get a large enough size. There is no lining or anything else to distinguish these pants. They are just standard, basic, everyday pants—but the corduroy makes them a little more stylish and classier than most. The waist elastic is nice and wide (about 2 inches), which ensures stability and comfort at the waist. The drawstrings are like soft shoestrings, with taped ends. Personally, I am not a fan of drawstrings: they look terrible, and my cats can’t leave them alone. The elastic seems plenty sturdy and functional enough to render the drawstring unnecessary. Maybe I’ll take the drawstring out and repurpose it as a cat toy! These pants seem to fit true to size. The legs are cut straight down to the knees, then have a wide bell at the bottom. If you’re large like me, the bell at the bottom helps to balance out a too generously endowed derriere. As others have said, the legs run a little short. I’m average height for a woman, and the legs fall a couple of inches above my shoes. So these slightly short pants are a great way to show off those fancy socks! The front pockets are nice and deep, which is great if, like me, you use pants pockets to substitute for a purse. A cell phone will just fit. The pockets are made out of the same corduroy as the pants—so they are nice and sturdy. You won’t easily lose things through holes in thin fabric. They are sewn in at the sides, so they are also a very comfortable place to rest your hands. Women’s corduroy pants can be had for a list price of anywhere from $10 to $42 (with “coupon” prices ranging from $9.49 to $36.99). At the list price of $26.99, these pants are priced about average. And they are about average quality. So you are getting exactly what you pay for. These are wonderfully comfortable pants! You could do almost anything in them! But the corduroy makes them look classy enough that you can wear them in public as “polite” pants. The best of both worlds! They will be a go-to, do-anything staple of your everyday wardrobe until the thin corduroy wears out in a year or two. Read more

These corduroy barrel pants are super comfortable and surprisingly versatile. The fabric has a nice soft texture with just enough stretch to feel relaxed without losing its shape, making them great for cooler fall and winter days. The high elastic waist with the adjustable drawstring is a big win — it sits comfortably without digging in or rolling, and makes the fit easy to customize. The barrel leg style feels modern and flattering, especially with the ankle-length cut that avoids dragging on the ground. They pair easily with everything from fitted tops and sweaters to jackets, and look just as good with sneakers as they do with boots or heels. Overall, they’re an easy, stylish option for casual wear that can also be dressed up a bit for work or outings. Comfortable, trendy, and practical thanks to the pockets. Read more
Not right for my size at all Read more
My new favorite pants!! Everything about these pants is just right! The wide-leg is actually wide, and the length is longer just how I like it. That’s a combination that has been difficult for me to track down. The fabric is soft for a corduroy, and they are super comfortable. The outer is softer than the inner, but the inner is not uncomfortable at all. They’re pretty warm but with the wide leg I usually wear a pair of tight leggings underneath—but I do that with practically everything—they’re perfectly fine on their own as well. They don’t feel super heavy, but also don’t feel thin and cheap. They wash well for me thus far. I usually turn them inside out and wash on cold-gentle or cold-casual, then dry on low. Of course, see the tag or description for advised care, but I figured it worth mentioning what has been working well for me. The waist does have elastic/stretch to it, but the pull string is fully-functional. They’re long enough that you could wear them high waist and still not have them look too short; or you could wear them lower and have a longer, baggier look to them. Depending on what I’m doing, I’ve worn them both ways and they look just as good no matter how ya do it. Pockets!! They have real pockets(left and right front/hip)! And they’re a good size, too—not huge, but not small and certainly not tiny. I included a pic of the pants inside out so you can see the actual size of the pocket. They style well with just about anything. You can dress them up or dress them down and look great either way. The coloring is well-saturated… no faded areas, and I’ve worn and washed them a bunch already and have not had any issue with fading or pilling or any other kind of defect or annoyance. I would recommend these—highly— to anyone that likes or is even the slightest bit interested in the style. They’re great quality, comfortable, and a reasonable price for what you get (especially for nowadays). Read more
