At first glance, these filters don’t appear like they capture much. Visually it is hard to tell. I thought to myself, “How can that be? This has been running for some months now in my 12 x 15‘ music room”. So I took the old filter outside and tapped it on the sidewalk Wow. I blew the old filter out with a leaf blower, tapped it on the ground, a bunch of times, reinstalled it, and it continues to do what it’s supposed to. Nonetheless, I bought new filters for it. No complaints about filter life, especially if you blow it out and use it more. So it definitely works as advertised. Of course, it is not a whole house solution, but works well for individual rooms. The unit itself runs quietly on all 3 speeds, looks well-made and unobtrusive. I’m happy with it. It’s been running nonstop for over a year with no issues. Fit perfectly in my Levoit air purifier. Vacuuming the outside of the unit and changing the filter every 3 months has made a big difference in my husband and I’s allergies.
