After considering different types of wire shelving for an existing walk in tile shower and being unhappy with how they looked, I saw these simple and elegant shelves. I love that I can set them at heights that work for my taller husband as well as for my shorter self. The glass is an excellent thickness. It was easy to install. Item arrived in great packing, looked nice. I drilled holes in my wall and set the anchors in place. Once I was ready to set the glass plate in the corner and insert the grub screw I noticed that it was very tight, almost seemed cross threaded. I’m a machinist and a metal fabricator so I highly doubt I cross threaded the screw. But I figured im only human. Then I noticed that the other holes all were tight up. Not just “tight”….but the thread was goofed up. Seriously this upset me. I just drilled holes in my new tile and this just seriously screwed up my wall. I can’t just “sent it back” at this point. I have holes in my wall that match the crappy pot steel zinc brackets they sent. The ad say aluminum….yeah right. It’s a mix of waste metal…then chrome plated. I had to use urethane to glue the glass in. If you are an anyone that values your hard work and doesn’t want to ruin your wall, look elsewhere. It would have cost them another .10c to use stainless steel…and them another. .25c to tap these correctly and provide a good set screw. Why do these cheap companies always need to provide the cheapest possible garbage hardware possible? Do they not have pride in there craftsmanship or product? It’s only about making money and providing the absolute lowest quality engineered product possible. Has anyone in the world honestly ever heard the name “China” and felt reassured? Sad. It’s not hard to fix that. They have the ability to provide a good product…US companies have proved that by making products over there. But they continue to only use the absolute worst garbage possible unless the are “told” not to. How about charging $5 more and making a product better than the rest? It took an honest hour to try and fix their mess. I’m not happy about using urethane and having to glue the glass in. I’d probably just go to a store next time and see what the materials are before I drill into my $2000 tile job. It better yet, have a glass shop cut glass and I’ll make my own high quality brackets. I’m getting sick of companies making these landfill waste type products. My kids legos are made to WAY BETTER tolerances. Read more

Nice shelves, but they lost a star because of poor installation instructions. I read the reviews for these and similar ones, and I'd like to pass on what I've learned. The set screws that hold the glass in place are tapered, extremely difficult to screw in, and will feel like they are cross threaded. There's a reason for this; you don't want them to loosen up during use and have the glass fall out. If you wait till the brackets are installed, you will find it very difficult, if not impossible, to tighten them to secure the shelves. Prior to mounting the brackets I installed the set screws and screwed them all the way in until they were flush with the surface of the bracket, then backed them off. Lubrication with a light oil made this a little easier. When mounting the brackets, the instructions say to measure 6 inches from the wall to some unspecified point. No. I went with 4 inches from the corner to the edge of the bracket, which matches the pictures. My shower walls are 1/4 inch thick, so I screwed them directly to the walls. If your walls are tile or thin plastic over wall board, you might want to go with both the provided screws AND the adhesive. These are heavy shelves and I would not trust either the adhesive or the wall anchors alone. Do not over tighten the set screws to hold the shelves. Before tightening them, be sure that the silicon plug recessed into the set screw has not fallen out or you may damage or break the shelf. There are extra set screws provided. I also put a thin layer of caulk on the back of the brackets to prevent leaks. Read more
